About School kids in love triangles or just love triangles or some weird romance thing.

I've been looking for some new stuff on direct download anime sites and that's all I seem to find Stuff I would want is incomplete.

I've been turned off anime for the last half-decade for this reason. Some anime is completely unique, but the rest of it seems to want to revel in its own formulaicness.

How many heroes do we need that are hard as nails, cocky, and can say "yattaze!" in the same voice in every anime?

Hell, we could even make a list of tiresome anime conventions...

 

There's still enough, every season brings a couple of gems imo. Although I haven't started this season yet, school's been busy.

 

I goto Anime Boston every year. Alot of people hated this year but I loved it BUT I hate cosplayers epecally fat chicks who dress like Tifa or GULP Rikku (in her X-2 outfit) Some American anime fans are just weird.

Although I don't think that's the anime conventions you were refering to.

BUT one of the reasons I do get anime burn out is because of the fans the ones that mix Japanese words with English, the ones that think they'd fit in better in Japan, The Ones that think L'Arc En Ciel is the greatest band ever
(again I like them but they aren't my favorites in the J-rock Catagory) The ones that threaten you with Death if you say you don't like Fullmetal Alchemist....I could go on and on and on.

Cosplayers should be banned from cosplaying unless they can pass strict tests in ability to look like the character you are meant to be and not use it as a cheap was to be an attention whore. If I see another fat girl in a costume that if the wind blew hard in the other direction would cause major injuries and blindness then I would scream or move to Japan.

 

Fat cosplayer girls are enough to turn a Straight man gay.......

I go to Otakon and there are plenty of great cosplayers - as well as the shamefully bad ones. And while fat girls might be bad - Otakon always, always, always attracts at least one of these:

anyways, Downloading Death Note now.....it sounded pretty good to me.

 

That doofus in the faye valentine costume got kicked out of Sakuracon in Seattle I think in 2006 because he wouldn't change and you could...see a bit more than you could in 2005. Either he grew (doubt it) or he decided to wear a smaller size.

BTW, guys, the JoJo's bizzarre Adventure anime is pretty cool.

Though, its only 6 episodes long, so its more like a really long film.

 

Golden Boy was funny as shit. Chobits was alright. Naruto is gay. Ninja Scroll, Akira, ghost in the Shell, garzey's wing, Area 88, Record of Lodoss War, Perfect Blue, Escaflowne, all are great anime IMO. Oh as well as cowboy bepop and Outlaw Star. Those were all great IMO. Jin-Roh also pops up.

OK, poor choice of words. By "conventions", of course I didn't mean the freakish displays of corpulence that pass for U.S. anime/cosplay cons. I meant more like "cliches" or "formulas".
