Time for another dumb PC question from yours truly. Is it at all possible to extend a partition (make it bigger) without having to delete or damage any files? I want to change the size of a partition from 2 gig to 3 gig but don't want to damage or delete anything on both sides of the partition. The other side has 4 gig free so there's more than enough to extend the 2 gig section to 3 gig.

I'll third the PartitionMagic recommendation (just find an OEM version for $10 or so), but be warned that any partition resizing can be dangerous. If PartitionMagic fails, you probably will lose the partition (i.e. backup everything first).

Partition Magic is a great program, but I will second mairsil's thoughts about making sure any data you have on that partition is backed up.

Just curious, why can't you just use the other partition? What do you have installed on the 2gig partition?
