Hello everyone, I have a odd question I am not sure if it is possible to do or not? Here it is, is it possible to make a (old) Xbox live account for the original Xbox in order to play a game? The reason why I am curious about this is, I recently was reminded of a old Xbox game which I looked into and the game requires you to have a Xbox live account in order to play it. The game is Phantasy Star Online 1&2, it requires that you have a Xbox live account in order to play it, even offline single player. I don't know why it was done this way, but that is what happened. I am just curious if someone knew of a way to make a Xbox live account for the original Xbox, so I could play this game. I did some research and I found out that you needed a Xbox just to play single player. One person went through a thrift store testing Xbox memory cards until he found one with a account. I suppose I could do that, but I figure maybe someone has figured out a way to make a Xbox live account. Maybe there are other games that require a Xbox live account just to play single player, I don't know. It would be cool to create a account with at least a name that you wanted. I would like to make a account just so I can play this game, nothing else. If someone could let me know either way, whether it is possible or not, I would really appreciate it. My Xbox is soft-modded, not sure if that helps or hinders. If it is not too much trouble, please let me know. Thanks for listening.
Maybe one can make a Account using the XDK dashboard. not sure, also never tried that awesome looking game. dint knew it has singleplayer. I do have a live account, but its also my current 360 one, so no share (ALso my dads credditcard is still stored inside that file)
The most easiest way would be to look for the hacked version of PSO, so that you don't need a Live-account
Yeah, it creates a fake profile account file IIR? And then you had to select the second file or something like that. But I also heard numerous times of people having the game crash when going through a certain warp tunnel... There's also a standalone PPF-patcher available to try out on your own game's file structure, but that only works for the US version I think ? (didn't work on my own PAL dump anyways)
Partnernet is gone on the Xbox, so you cant create an account. As other people said, use a hacked XBE for access. You can also download the missions and use them.
http://codeasm.com/xbox/files/Accounts/ These are not "Files" to be put somewhere on your hdd, you have to write them using some drivetools like DD. I extracted them from a few memory cards I found (payed for) A sort of how to in the original thread: http://www.assemblergames.com/forum...-Xbox-Gamertag&p=725868&viewfull=1#post725868 Ill try Linux tonight just for testing, I believe this is the easiest way to get em on a hdd afterwards (just use any usb stick for memorycard purposes?)
