http://www.gametrailers.com/video/tgs-10-devil-may/704980 You be the judge. It seems as if the new dev's dream is to vicariously live out his DMC fantasies by modeling himself into the game and completely changing everything we know about the series. But that's just my opinion, and its like a butt. I smell DMC2 all over again, and a series killer...
They killed the series at 3. 1 was great! 2 was decent. 3 = 3 minutes of me playing and already knowing it was gunna suck.
That's bull and you know it. and OP Apparently this takes place before 3 so it's why he has black hair and also Capcom pressured them into radically redesigning Dante for some reason... http://kotaku.com/5644446/shirtless-and-suspendered-the-dante-that-almost-was While I do agree that I think the character Model is not very good. They have time to improve it or whatever. I'll still be buying this game and trying it for myself.
I know 3 sucks and it sucked so hard that it threw me off liking the DMC series. Like I already said, 1 was fantastic so there is no DMC hate here.
Alot of people on here hate what's cool becasue they want to be counterculture and thus..cool. It's lame NO DMC is not dead I look forward to this reboot
DMC blew the first game out of the water IMO. But to each his own. Now if only they made his outfit in the new game look less awkward i'd be even more on board.
Funny you ask this. I was reading an article on a brazilian game website talking about how Japanese games lost some of their flair. The mention how the new Dmc, Castlevania and Dinasty Warriors are being developed by western studios, something that would be considered strange years ago. Here's the article ( May have some translations mistakes ) http://translate.google.com/transla...m.br/ultnot/multi/2010/09/23/ult530u8302.jhtm
Ι'm not a fan of the series but I always admired how cool it is (even the 4th one which had a lame, new hero instead of kick-ass Dante). But when I saw the new character of the new DMC I said "WTF Capcom!". He looks like he will take part on a crappy live-action movie based on the game.
The series always focused around the young fashion of Japan, which I've always seen as somewhat lame and not very evolving. I know Warakia will kill me (if he pops in here) but hey, I can't help what I like. As such, I think the reboot makes him look less of a tard. I like this look better, even though I wouldn't buy the game on aesthetics alone.
The original games are amazing and I stand by saying this. The new one that was announced at TGS is NOT a true DMC in my opinion its just a wannabe and not the good kind at all. Talk about taking the series in the wrong direction. And if Capcom claim they think it will sell 5 million again I will just keep on laughing
If I had a nickel for every time i've heard this same "not a true game" argument. I'd probably have a couple bucks! While it's understandable to feel that way. I know where you are coming from and only time will tell. Really the only problem I have is that the way his clothes fit around his Lanky figure just don't seem right. It looks awkward. If they gave him the exact same body frame as the DMC3 Dante maybe with clothes more like his to balance the design out. It'd look less awkward. Tell me i'm not the only person who thinks this. :gravedigging:
its true that the plot is pretty lame and cookie-cutter, but in terms of a fighter, it only lacks substance if you don't explore the fighting style options. in 3, don't use the shallow fighting styles and try royal guard, then let me know how steep the learning curve is and how rewarding/fun mastery can be. and as for 4...well....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYSANWzwJjQ. Its (dmc3)^5 in terms of mastery difficulty.
Are you serious? I can't see anything fashionable in Devil May Cry series. The creator of DMC5's opinions are bullshit. If you would tell me about Final Fanty X/X-2 and The World Ends With You (which is one of the most original games I've ever played) I would agree.
