Is there something wrong with me?...

I feel the strangest urge to collect the different model types of PS1/PSone etc?

Is this normal? Should i be worried that wanting the different revisions of each unit when i can only play one at a time is wrong?

Oh and this came about while re-casing my Chipped PS1 into a purple transllucent case :lol:

I also thought i would replace the PSu in my NTSC-J early PS1 so that i can use it i the UK and found someone had already beaten me to it and it had a 220v PSU in there already!!! :dance:

Don't do it, before you know it you'll be on the harder stuff like the Dreamcast and then you'll be paying $1000 a hit to get a Blue Sonic Dreamcast or a Mazora console...

 

PMSL.. cant imagine it can ever get to that stage for me.. The funds would never allow it!

i`ve got 9 ps1`s and 2 ps one`s i thought about doing the same as you, i then realised i`ll only get them if the price is low at a local car boot. i think you`ll probably end up with most of them lol.

 

i don't really care, I just buy whatever crosses my path if I am interested in it at that time.. as for the money lost I always figure that selling it would bring up about the same amount or more anyway (if less you did a bad buy lol) so I have no stress and sell stuff occassionally when I get bored with it or when I need the cash and just keep a few things that are really worth alot (for me / my collection) but if the shit hits the fan they will eventually go too

 

I agree and for me its pretty much the same, its buy what you see. I`m pretty confident most of what i buy can be sold for more than the purchase price. Hopefully the day won`t come when i need to start selling stuff, but I must say i`m a bit of a hoarder (multiples of systems, multiples of games and not thinking about selling)

 

i have 43 + PS1's sat here at present (arrived in a job lot with a load of other consoles.. awaiting testing) so i think the collection is off to a good start!

Probably but the CD is too near the PSU anyway so they break down far too often.

 

I think as a dreamcast and 360 owner I'm used to hardware falures by now.
