install windows xp into a partition on your hard drive to get a dual boot machine, when you boot up it will ask you which operating system you want to use.
If you REALLY want to get an XP machine and figure this thing out, you could...I don't know, Google how to do it and figure it out that way? =p
The problem is not with the XP os itself, but with the computer with LPT port as he ordered the old device instead of Retrocade or such which has USB port.
Thanks 2013 is the year everything is answered i plan to get a decent XP computer at some point with the required connections for the transferring device then i download that checksum thing onto a USB flashdrive and check from there and data size any differences will be posted somehow =)
Wow, I just read this entire forum to discover it still hasn't ended. Why can't you try your cousin's computer?
They are rarely home both work 7 days a week most the time i have only seen them twice since i posted this thread they live a hour away but are rarely home during the day and i don't drive i have asked them once about using the transferer device the first time i saw them i only had the cart so perhaps next time they will let me use the comp if they are home for long enough or if i get a xp computer whatever happens first really i am unsure if anyone else i know has a XP comp with the printer port
OK. This sort of thing is why I have a Windows 98 hooked up in the basement. I hope you wound up with a cart that was worth all of this time and effort.
Thankyou same here =s i still have not found another one prob never will again so i do hope its worth it ^^
I've just read the whole thread, and even though its not concluded, i just love the OP enthusiasm. Even if this is something, or even if this is nothing, i wish you well with it! Regards
So still no news on this one? If you're really in a bind, you can always send it to one of the members here, have it dumped and have the hardware sent back... EDIT: Also, there is an official flash art and - as was pointed out wrongly before - it is for the original Game Boy as well as Game Boy Color. The clear case is actually a case for the same type of game that Robopon usually is: IR-LEDs with a Piezo speaker. You can even see the where the speaker would go in the housing (behind the four holes on the front). The clear case is used by the Japanese game "Pocket Family GB 2", see here (about 3/4 down, bottom right).
hey thanks i just saw that game i will buy that one as well so i have 3 games with similar cases =) i am gonna try go to my cousins between next week and next month hopefully if they are home that is =s
Hey, while we're at it: Would you mind taking a clean shot of the back of the PCB for us? That'd be great
Just to clarify for sure, this Board is definitely a rewritable Flasboard from Nintendo used for testing. This seems to be the english version of PKMN Gold so this could come from Nintendo America or its the english Euro Version and this came from Nintendo Europe. It is unlikely that this Version contains a Debug Mode or has differences compared to the japanese Final. What you propably can find are spelling mistakes in the text if its a earlier Version.
