Ah... now the truth comes out... you're admittedly NOT a Halo fan and you've NEVER played it, but somehow you're knowledgeable enough to make the call that it's a fake disc and 'no average Halo fan would know of' it. Riiiight. Now if I've offended your gentle feelings by using the same names YOU used, well, then, I'm sor... Hahahaha... no I'm not... You're still a douche, Bramsworth, still a douche.
Ok, I'll bite. I worked for Disc Makers. They're kind of a big deal, people know them. A little upstart company out of Philadelphia. I've actually played Halo since launch day. Considering your register date and tone of posts, I wouldn't be surprised if these were your auctions. I didn't need to mention the positives when OP only asked if the disc was fake, so I mentioned seller had been accused of selling fakes in the past. Carry on with your petty insults and negative attitude, they won't bother me in the slightest.
NoonMoon seems like he has a moon up his ass. Calm down. Something that looks so damn fake, is bound to make people think it's fake. :/ Correct people without insults.
What Hexigon said sums it up, disc looks like shit, people will think it's fake. Don't need to be a Halo fan to say something looks fake. And you don't need to know Halo to just take a guess that the general fanbase of a popular series wouldn't know about every obscure item relating to it. I never was looking for an apology, but I do think if anyone that knew you saw how you respond to people, they'd point at you as the douche. Assuming you don't delete your account to save yourself from embarrassment, you should be the one apologizing for being so aggressive. Who knows when someone might Google your name in the future and see you acting like such a tool here and think "Aww what a douche." If there's one thing I've learned, it's to Google before opening my mouth. And what have you learned...? Probably will come back with more insults, but we'll see!
This a place to share information and opinions, I mean if someone is going to just insult you for being incorrect - that's just childish.
NoonMoon sounds like he's got mental issues with how he's acting here! Sellers should be more polite if they want business. Since the cover and all is apparently homemade without any mention of such being made in the auction that means that peoples assumption that is was fake at first is true in my opinion. It's just the discs contents that in fact weren't fake. Just like how those all those beggers we have here in France are actually pretty well off, you just can't tell by how they make themselves up like shit(although in that case they try to look bad on purpose...).
Considering his user name is NoonMoon and the seller's eBay name is NoonMoon I would say the probability is incredibly high that these are his auctions. also, I've never heard of Disc Makers.
Well since the seller is "noon-moon" and the other guy is "noonmoon", I'm going to guess it is the seller. Just my two cents, I'm not sure if the disc is real (of course there have been multiple making of videos for Halo over the years, with one coming with the special edition of 2, 3, and Reach), but I'm pretty sure the case/insert is fake, especially given that the thread linked to included one in a cardboard sleeve. For $20 (what it's at now), it isn't a terrible investment, but if it goes much higher I'd back out.
Disc is definitely real - they actually used to be quite common. Bought it just because of the cover, even though I was 99.99% sure it wasn't factory. As expected, it was a Teen case with the original cardboard backing cut up into the cover. Can't complain about getting another Teen case, but I didn't exactly need that or the disc since I have three of each already.
