no 24h hospital ? do you live more in a urban area of japan or a city ? cause in my town at least emergency staff is in every hospital and i was driven to those after some car carsh sometimes 4am in the morning
Thank F@@K for the that  Rather than typing away why isn`t in a bowl of ice or frozen peas keeping the pain down  So the gaming will be on the back shelf with one hand?
Thanks for all the kind words guys ! Got to go back to work tomorrow believe it or not ! Good job I'm stuffed full of pain killers:nod: I tell you, I can't play bugger all. I was well bored today. So I spent the time compiling Retro Core 22. Good job I had made all the parts for it by last Monday. Don't tempt me mate. Those times just don't happen here in Japan. We still have great nights out but none of this eating take out pizzas and cans of larger on the steps of a bombed out church
Sir, here's hoping for a really quick recovery. I understand your pain. I've never broken anything above my waist (right leg three times, left leg once), but I might need to break my wrist surgically, as I can sometimes no longer hold a pencil because of something arthritically inclined. Hell, until thursday last week I wasn't able to walk without crutches, since I was run over last sunday. It wasn't really a broken leg, but almost so. From now on, Yakumo, you might be able to tell whether it's about to rain. You can feel that in the middle of your bone, you'll know eventually. Can you really play nothing at all? That's harsh, man. That has to suck. Today, let us all have a drink in honour of Yakumo's recovery. I know for sure I will.
Yes, I can't use my left hand at all. Maybe I can play a RPG though since they aren't action packed so I could use my right hand for the d-pad and buttons  Yakumo
You mean you broke your wrist playing a videogame? I thought you broke it by playing actual table tennis. That's just funny.
What kind? I recently went to the emergency room w/ a nasty little stomach virus. Was dehydrated. After 4 bags of an I.V., the doctor prescribed be vicodin. Was pretty excited, until I got them and realized it was only 2 days worth.
did the doctor admonish you to be more careful, as foreigner can be too forceful? A pal got that once. Basically he as too powerful for his own good in the doctors opinion.
So that is true then?....My father always talked about it, but i never really beleived him.......wowzers Ryan
Yeah, they didn't last too long. I truly did feel like shit though. TRIED to go to work, but wound up crashing in my bed for 20 hours, only getting up to force down a few saltines and a bathroom break here or there. FYI, that's my FIRST time to call in sick in 5 years, and only did it b/c now, I finally have backup in the office. Up until then, my duties could only be done by me. On that note, in the past, I went in to work a few times sick as shit, sleeping in the server room the whole day. Honestly though, I'm surprised Yakumo got any pain killers at all (assuming they actually aren't placebo). Japanese "doctors" are notoriously stingy w/ all forms of them, including anesthetics. Maybe one day I'll tell my wisdom tooth story.
That's just brilliant. I'm sorry to hear about the wrist though, best of luck and heal up soon so you can keep on playing those games.
no, I did break it playing real table tennis. The Wiii isn't released yet  They are very small light brow pills called Voltaren (ボルタレン). Surprisingly they work really well. Can only take one every 5 to 6 hours though. No but he did say that I had girl like hands ! The cheecky bastard ! Actually he meant the skeleton in side was quite small compared to the size of my hand which I must agree with. I couldn't believe it was my hand when I first saw the x-ray. Yakumo
Next time don't try to play table tennis with bowling balls. It is a good thing that you got pills. Drugs are your friend. I have had a badly broken wrist and an elbow, no prescriptions for either, and I know how painful mending bones are without medication. (technically the elbow was shattered and should have had pins put in, but my idiot parents didn't think that the $25 co-pay for the operation was worth the money)
Its true for me as well, I broke my ankle a few years back and it gets sore a bit when the weather is bad. Wierd stuff!
ouch. sorry to hear. I know how bad it can hurt. broke my collar bone when I was going down the street on inlines. couldn't lift my arm for the whole summer =/ did they say anything about how long it would take for it to cure?
I remember pain killers where the only thing that made be sleep (for at least some hours) after the car accident i had. Anyway, hope you get better asap Yakumo.
