I've broken my F*cking wrist !

Yes, today I was playing table tennis, fell over and broke my wrist., It's now 3:21am and I can get any sleep due to the pain !!!!OH: Worst of all I can get it put in to a cast until the morning OH: Good job it was my left wrist.

Oh god man, thats awful. Not having it in a cast is probably the worst..Arent there 24 hour hospitals in Japan?

Go to your hospital or at least put it in ice to calm the swelling. I broke my wrist once and I didnt feel the pain unless I wanted to move it. But yeh there should be a hospital near by where you can take it and they can put a cast on it. Its Japan, they ought to have a hospital with an ER!

Well, now 7:49am and still no sleep. There are no 24hr hospitals in this area They will open from 9am so the wife will take me down there. I never had any idea breaking something was this painful.

The only real "break" I had was a collar bone, which was really, really shitty. I was 5, and remember it vividly. You can't even walk w/o it hurting.

Here's hoping for a quick healing process.

 

Been there, done that. Broke my wrist so badly in 5th grade, that my hand was only attached to my arm by way of the skin and muscles. Thankfully it was your left hand (it sounds like you are right handed), I wasn't so lucky. Still haven't regained the ability to write for extended periods of time without my hand/wrist cramping to the point where I cannot hold a pen/pencil.

I've broken mine several times over the years ... in my sleep!!

I dare say the pain isn't that bad really, you tend to get used to it =/

I never had a cast when I did mine though, pretty much the only thing I ever got offered after waiting 12 hours is some minor support from a light dressing and the chance to pay over the odds for painkillers - as a result the last few times it's happened I haven't even bothered going to the infirmary, to lose a day for the same old just ain't worth it :s

 

:lol: Looks like I'll have to star liking Rockstar games now :lol: Well finally got it seen to. I've got a nice hard cast now (much thinner than what I remember people having back in school) and a crap load of pain killers.

I never broke any of my bones and dont plan to! I got close to breaking my ankle once though. The pain was pretty bad.
