    Same with the German version.

    Years ago a friend told me about Shin Chan and how funny it was etc. etc. so I watched a couple of episodes with him on RTL2 in German and we were both disappointed by how bad the jokes translate. They tried to put in some jokes that originally were not in there, but it lost most of it's charme.

    Funny they do that, considering manga like Gantz is OVER 9000 times more violent than any game made in the west
