Hey guyz and girlz!
I just made this topic cause I always wanted to know how the Japanese women are!:love: I know this may seem at first lil stupid, but the truth is, since they live in a different country, they have a totally different culture from ours, all the anime scheme around... and so I am very curious about this!:redface:
Could you guys, who live in Japan, describe them physically and psycologically? Talk about girls between the 18-30 years old :thumbsup:

I don't think I've said that. There's a saying that when you have a kid, the wife dies and the mother is born. There's definitely some truth to that. Not sure if it's more or less so in western women's case though.

The main issue you'll find w/ Japanese women (that haven't been educated abroad) is a cultural barrier. Women generally run the world in Japan (contrary to stereotype) which in my experience, makes them stubborn. I'm not basing this on my wife's attitude, but a lot of women I know. Friends, friends' significant others, etc. etc. Everyone will of course have their own view, but I've based mine on a pretty decent sample.

The one demographic I try to avoid if I can is older Japanese women that speak English really well. In the airline world, about 1 out of 5 or 6 of these aren't complete bitches. The rest? Oh, man...

Japanese women are as messed up as the men for the most part. They're all desperate for a fairy tale romance, but they still want their man to be rich and successful and keep them in credit cards for designer clothes shopping. They want their men to be charming and faithful even if they're rude and sleep around every weekend. They are generally extremely shallow and materialistic and will marry a man for his money and then wonder why they are not happy. At once, extremely naive and extremely mercenary. Still, most of them are crazy hot and very willing to sleep with Western guys, so as long as you're just in for the one night stand, you're laughing. I get no attention whatsoever at home, but put on a touch of swagger and aloofness in a club here and you often have to beat them off with a stick.

Of course, they are exceptions, but this seems to be the pervading norm.

Prostitution is rife in Japan, everyone knows that, just read up on Asian travel guides in the neighbouring Asian areas and you hear a lot about Japanese men going on sex holidays because they don't like/get/can sleep with Japanese women.

As for them all looking like absolute babes, it's no difference to any country, I can walk down the street and probably say "I would" about half the women in the 18-40 age bracket, doesn't mean I would. I think the novelty of Japanese women is more of a draw than actual attration.

Saying that though, if Toda Erika asked me to leave my family and live with her... god I would have to think about it...

Hmm.. I see what ya mean assembler, a while ago I read an article saying that japanese women are bored of japanese men, and wanna go outside japan to meet other kind of guys capable of satisfying their needs.

Even the ones who will date foreigners aren't typical. Thus, while your original post holds very true for gaijin bars, the minute you walk out of Roppongi it crumbles as do the laws of physics at the singularity. "Picking up women" in Japan is easy, if you go to the right places. If not, it's like gay people trying to meet other gay people at non-gay places. There are loads of women that are just not going to date a gaijin, plain and simple. Trust me. After years of going to places that do not cater to white folk in the least, I can guarantee you that the local girls in fact do not throw themselves at you.

Now there are things like Mixi, and they kind of "come to you" which makes the whole going out thing much easier.

Unless you're writing some type of thesis, you shouldn't really take this thread as the gospel. Everyone's going to have their own opinions. There are at least 3 married-to-Japanese posters here, all from different countries, and living in different parts of Japan. You should probably hear from each of them. I've spent limited time outside of Tokyo, but obviously the vibe/lifestyle is way different from the city. You will likely get quite different answers depending on someones locale. That being said, one truth is that the average Japanese woman does have a pussy, and that for the most part, makes her at least a little crazy, and at times, nonsensical. Some have a higher threshold than others, that's all.

Translation: most of these qualities aren't really unique to Japanese women nearly as much as they are unique to women. Last I checked, there were more than a handful of psychotic western women.

My two cents as a guy who is dating an Japanese actress and model (one woman!) is that being a Gaijin sets you back about 2 steps behind your average Japanese good looking man.

To even be in the realms of getting a girl like those above you have to be either famous or crazy good looking. I am neither.

So bring decent Japanese
Bring charm
Bring loads of accesories and very fashinable clothes

Lets get this straight in England I spend about 10 mins getting ready in the morning.

Now I am hitting a solid hour. But that is normal for the really good looking men and MOST women in Japan. Including ironing my hair flat and styling, eye liner and masccara (yes I am serious), foundation round oily areas, moistrurise around the eyes ETC.

Add to this dressing like a host/rock star. Always loads of jewelry and sunglasses 24hrs are a rule.

To get the kind of women above, you need to pull your finger out. Don't kid yourself that being a Gaijin is enough. Plus once you put this much effort in the rewards are odvious, I don't regret my effort one bit.

You may think this is kinda girly, but those are the rules in Japan for being treated as equal to normal Japanese Ikemen. So to use an RPG term, Level up, and looking like a bit like Cloud helps as well!


BTW the myth that Japanese girls love western guys does ONLY hold true for certain bars and areas (as ppl have said). Try to chat up a girl in Japanese in a Japanese friendly bar and you have got to be pretty special to score.


EDIT - BTW my GF has already taken me home to meet her dad. But that is a whole new scary story!

Not only am I married, but I work at home. I literally don't get ready until my shower in the evening. Can get messy sometimes.

I never was never into accessories or sunglasses when I pulled my wife. Well, I wore earrings but she had me take them out, and I did dress somewhat fashionable, but was pretty broke, so they were my clothes from previous years. I did sunglasses for a while, but I have somewhat bright blue eyes, so they're kind of an asset here.

Married now, so it doesn't really matter too much. I do go out from time to time, and I wear nice threads as I can afford them (although I should really whack my fucking hair) and the pussy definitely doesn't throw itself at me. At least not when I go to places that I go to to enjoy myself. It's a small price to play to go to places where they play good music though. The ironic thing is, even if I wear Dolce & Gabbana designer shirts and go to some place like Heartland, I'm avoided like the plague b/c I don't look like a banker (despite the fact I work in securities).

 

I won't go in to detail about Japanese women since I've ranted enough in the past but what I will say is that they are NOT the quiet please the husband types you may have read about or saw in anime. As for the guys? Well, many are cool but a lot really do need to be taken around the corner and given a good kicking :nod:
