A news for you guys that the supposed to be cancelled 4th Jet Moto game called Jet Moto 2124 was finally released by Jet Moto Central.

As a rule of that forums I can only share the thread and the Facebook links in order for you to see additional information such as the different players, powerups, stunts, bugs and glitches:

    According to Wikipedia:
A fourth Jet Moto, called Jet Moto 2124, was being developed at Sony's 989 Studio in San Diego and was set to be based in the future. Production on the game began prior to the completion of Jet Moto 3. Level designers used Alias Power Animator 8.5 to create tracks for the game. Developers took inspiration from Syd Mead when coming up with concepts and designs for the game. Jet Moto 2124 would be the first in the series to take the player to locations off Earth, including Mars, the moon and one of Jupiter's moons, Europa. Additional real-world sponsors had been solicited for in-game sponsoring, including Doritos, Slim Jim, and Body Glove. The game was to have redesigned physics and increased speed, giving 2124 "the Jet Moto feel but with Wipeout speed." Inspiration was also taken from freestyle motocross, and the ability would have been given to the player to do in air-tricks such as the heel clicker and can-can, similar to modern day tricks performed on specialized dirtbikes.

Developers cited lack of marketing support, camera issues and a flawed physics model for the jet motos as a few of the main concerns with the game's development. Other concerns included a new company president that did not support the game, and the studio director seeking to widen all the tracks, causing a significant increase in development time. These, along with lackluster sales of Jet Moto 3 caused the game to be cancelled two years into production, just prior to beta testing.

Cool, I had a solid lead on that one before it died. Same source had a few other games from that era too.

Nice to see that PS1 unreleased games are getting more spotlight. Interesting fact that I've noted is that every single unreleased PS1 game release have been featured at PsMuseum.

Playstation Museum very rarely had any unique sources, they were just able to talk to the right people at the right time. Ive similarly talked to some of them.

Such a shame that this didn't get developed further. While it is undoubtedly rough around the edges, what's actually in the build works really well. Some of the later tracks are mental!

It's very cool to be able to play this!

As much as I loved Jet Moto growing up, how did this cancellation ever slip my mind? Kudos for the links.

Welcome to Assembler Games Enigma! It's really been a while and sorry for my lack of post on your JMC, I've been really busy recently. And Need for Madness looks nice, I will check it out.
