I am looking for a list of all commercially released Nintendo 64 games in Japan. I already have a master list with ALL games, but it is not really handy to use if you're searching for the jpn releases only. Any idea? I'd like a list in a forum too.
Found this one on wikipedia List of Japanese games and release dates: (translation http://translate.google.com/transla.../DB_NTC3_N641996-1997.html&num=100&hl=en&sa=G ) http://homepage2.nifty.com/gamedatabase/software/DB_NTC3_N641996-1997.html
Thanks. This page is truly the way to go, amazing amount of information in there (not only for N64 but for almost any console if you follow the trail back to the main page).
Yes great list, I use that list alot too. I think Adol also uses it to help complete his 1400+ SFC games collection.
Great to see a complete list of Sony consoles, I wasn't able to track down any yet. Pippin is missing though. I'd love to see a complete list although I assume it's not too much.
great, i also have that master list...not handy as you said. so you're starting N64 games collecting, too?
Kind of... it's cheap, stylish (the jp games I mean) and I have some childhood memories in connection with N64-games.
In fact i used Daigirin (very known book) i bought in 1998. But i crossed their info WITH this list and with another one, just to be sure i don't miss anything I did the same for Saturn.
But in fact they're not little but the biggest (common) cardboard boxes? Anyway, I love how much space there is for great artworks.
The next version of gamengai will be using similar lists for each system to display each game's data. The user will be able to toggle between modes that will display only games with a description, cover scan, etc. A shitload of work has been put into it, but I have to translate all the game titles and that takes a while. I started the PS2 list about 3 years ago and didn't finish. I've started it again, but am only through releases of 2005, so I have a ways to go. I figure by the end of the year I'll have it running. I actually emailed the GDR guy to ask if he wanted to swap data but never got a reply. I slurped the PS3 site, and outputting to his preferred method of HTML is less than an hour's work. I needed a good list of GBA games, but in the end I just wrote a Perl script and slurped Amazon.jp. Translation of that and the PS2 list are the main hold up. If you're really clever you can probably find what's been done so far.
Here is another list I found, I actually found this before knowing the GDR list. I have not crossed check them so not sure if both are identical. Not sure if you find it helpful but here it is anyways, http://www.geocities.jp/mojory/64list.html
I'm working on a list which will display all known (released) N64 games eventually and will include country codes and such... in case anyone is interested http://www.nesworld.com/n64releaselist.php
You are doing a fantastic job, I have been reading your site for years now. And yes I am a Dane, before you ask. And I do speak Danish to some peoples annoyance at times. But anyway, you are doing a fine fucking fantastic job
