I have a jtag 360 that e64s with the dvd drive in, when you pull it out it e79s... Are there anyways to fix this? I have the nand and all the corresponding files?

    I have the following files
    config_raw.bin
    flashdmp.bin
    fuses.text
    keyvault.bin
    keyvault_raw.bin

And A Pic Of the CPU Key and DVD Key, Its an Xenon, with freeboot 9199 on it right now...

    thanks

Have you tried to reflash the nand using xell.

Also you can check the jtag wiring, that can cause a problem if a connection is loose.

As for reflashing I would make a new freeboot image, rename to updflash.bin, put on a usb stick, plug it into your 360 and boot to XELLOUS by pressing the eject button then it will start to reflash your nand.

As for making a easy freeboot image use Freeboot Toolbox 0.032 Maker V2.4 Rev3,its simple to use,and do you have the original nand for your 360

    config_raw.bin
    flashdmp.bin
    fuses.text
    keyvault.bin
    keyvault_raw.bin

On A Side Note would it be possible to remove the jtag wiring and it be working correctly again and rejtag it?

    thanks

Just look for any lose connections, and you can use degraded to see if you have any bad blocks on your flashdmp.bin before you decide to reflash.

Is there a product that you would recommend to solder and reflash it with?

I purchased a SPI usb reader off ebay for this purpose, but this is really only necessary if you do multiple JTAGs or you have a BB jasper on your hands.
Other than that an LPT cable should work fine, although they are less precise, require work to install the resistors etc, and usually require much fiddling to perfect.

NEVER GET A LTP CABLE, So unrelyable and SLOW.

E79 means the SMC isnt doing the buisness as usual, check if you can go to xell, is so its the flash. If not its the Jtag wires.

I had this happen to me once before, but ive jtagged like 20 consoles so I dont remeber what model it was. I think it was a Xenon using the old wiring method (3 resistors), Now every time I use diodes and it has given me no problems booting without the dvd drive. Using freeboot 0.32

Would You Recommend a premade solution such as Maximus 360 Nand Flasher or the Xecuter Nand-X, have you heard of any good or bad things ?

    Thanks

I use a Maimus NandFlasher. I have not had any problems with it. And i think the Nand-X is probably comparable to it.

overpriced and unecesary, I did most of my jobs using an lpt cable :banghead:

I got the diygadget usb nand reader and its pretty much the same thing for half the price, and no extra unnecessary nand on board the chip.

Also you need to have some soldering skills, I practically learned to solder jtaging so its pretty simple stuff.

Man, the nand x has these weird pin headers that are kind of a pain to solder on. Its the same regardless. same pins/soldering.

Nand-X is the way to go, personally I've never used the Mazimus, but the Nand flasher is super easy to install and operate.

    Here is a video

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUggR0OQfhs

If you want the ease of use and faster read tiem go with the Nand-X. But there are others that will work as well like the DIY Gadgets, and the Xbox Experts usb spi flashers, they are slower then the Nand-X but they do the same thing. The Nand-X is more noob friendly. BUt really they all work the same it just depends which one you want to get. I would go Nand-X, Xbox Experts, DIYGadget, as and order for which I would get. I've jtagged ALOT of consoles and never had a problem with any of those.
