    Hi all,

Just a quick question really, did any of the Acclaim Juiced retail disks ever make it out?

I'm sure before I read some did as they had been in production.. though I can't remember where I read it, so don't know if they even do exist.

If they do, anyone seen any for sale?

    Thanks all.

I saw stacks of them in a locked guarded room at the auction.

I was told they were not part of the sale, and the next day they were all gone.

    About 500 copies I saw.

I was sure I read somewhere some copies were loose of the retail game, though I haven't seen one yet.

I'd love to track one down though..

This was rare? God damnit. I'm like 95% sure I had an Acclaim version of this at one point for the Xbox.

No. I was at the trade show that happened a few days after Acclaim shut its doors. Their games were still there, but they had no representatives. The sign read:

    Juiced
    Acclaim
    95% complete

    You don't press a 95% complete game!

Kev - could they not have been empty boxes awaiting the discs? Box artwork is often completed (and used for promo) way before the game is completed.

Retro, I always believed the game was complete, I thought they were prepairing for launch as they went under?

Also, i'm pretty sure the complete Juiced Acclaim version was leaked on the internet?

The reason I asked this was because i'm sure somewhere on the net quite some time back I read they had pressed copies ready to roll out the door and some had got leaked out.

Yeah, this is the nearest I got, which is the genuine cover/case, just with the words 'display only' added...

Firstly, do you always believe what you read on the 'Net? ;) I wouldn't! Apparently, some news channel was reporting that Hello Kitty is 50 years old today in the US, despite the fact that Hello Kitty was designed in 1974 and released in Japan in 1975. It is Sanrio, the company who owns the character, who is 50 years old this year... although I believe people have already celebrated the birthday a couple of months ago so doubly wrong there!

I know what I saw - a bank of monitors with the name of the game, the name of the publisher and the % complete. It was this bank of monitors:

    and here it is running:

(Don't know why I didn't take a picture of the whole cab - maybe it was blurry so I didn't keep it. I have a note on my post that it's 95% complete, though)

Games often get reviewed and given a release date by magazines before they're 100% complete. 95% is pretty close! So yes, they were preparing for launch, of course - you prepare months beforehand, produce the artwork, have that printed etc.

Which one is it? The near-retail version that leaked first years ago, or the beta version I helped leak?
