We have just got a DEV PSP here in work... WOW! lovely little machine! Very sexy indeed. Screen is bigger than I thought it would be, Looks nice and sharp to. The anallog stick feels a little strange.. if a little dissapointing.. it sticks a bit.. mainly because it doesnt tilt.... it slides along the X and Y Axis.. but it MAY be sticking because its a Dev Psp.. and isnt the final build quality. Connects to a Mini Pc Dev kit (with UMD Drive) through a fixed cable at the back. Over all.. Very sleak bit of kit... and I cant wait until these are out!
Seeing as you have one and we might as well seize the moment - is there any chance you'd be able to share pics of the dev hardware, both the PSP and the PC-side stuff as well? I'd sure like some, at least, if you're able to and wouldn't mind.. ^__^
yeah should be able to.. I'll see what im Allowed to do! Only goning to share pics if im Allowed to in my job! but i dont see a problem, as long as I dont show what its running etc.. The unit should be ok.
thanks for sharing this information with us, please make as many (legal) pictures as you can. From the unit, the devunit etc. Can't wait to see :smt023
Don't do anything unless you are sure its ok though, even mailing pics to people may get you into shit. They may pass them onto people, and they may get into the open, and could be linked to you. "Be Safe!"
nocomply, do you have one of the first batch of dev units, with TEST written under the screen, or is it one of the new multiregion production models? )
You should not even be allowed to talk about it... The stick was already moving this way at E3. When I first saw it I thought it was the speaker
Any chance you can smuggle it out so I can see what it's like in real life next week? :smt033 nah, only joking. Seriously though, if you can get pictures that would be great. Yakumo
Yeah, definately don't want to get you in trouble if you take pics, so make sure it's okay with your company (and then maybe take the pictures in a way that there aren't any identifying marks on the unit or whatnot, just to be safe). And yeah, I'm not interested in running code or anything else, I'd just like to see what the hardware looks like, but this is only if you're allowed to.
Delete your location infos from your profile ;-) ,show pics with stuff running and if there are any serial numbers blur them out.You can host the stuff anonymously on imageshack.us
Pics with stuff running is NOT a good idea, as while he may get an okay to take pics of the hardware, I highly doubt that pictures of running code/dev software/etc. will be looked upon as being such benevolent things...
It's not ok to publish pics of the raw hardware (even not running) or anything. It has nothing to do with his company but rather with Sony. The company and himself should have signed an NDA as a part of the PSP development deal. Now, on a personal note, I'd be happy for anything he want to leak anonymously, I am as curious as you guys. I don't even think that there's much risk, if he only release carefully selected pictures anonymously. But don't forget that it would be illegal. If it wouldn't, I'd be also showing you nice stuff
Yeah, dont worry I will be carefull! Will find out what I can and cant do when back in work monday... Will try though. Defo not going to get into ANY strife! but will try my best...!
sound really interesting! thx for sharing ! :smt023 im waiting for your pics! (if you can makes some, sure) but i wasn't knowing that the psp had a joystick..... :smt017
You won't be able to take pics. You aren't allowed to talk about it. Even saying you have seen one and what it is like, you could be in breach of the NDA. The NDA will say that the item is confidential, and NO information about it may be passed to anyone outside the company. This especially includes pictures. As a warning, if you post pictures and they are seen (and traced)..... 1. ASSEMbler will get into trouble for having them on his site 2. Your company will get into trouble for breeching its NDA (and I mean like Sony could sue) 3. You will very likely be fired Before you do anything, ask yourself is it worth that?
I think that showing pictures of the PSP would be quite safe. It's not as if it's some top secret machine that none of us have never seen before. Just that now we can see some more detailed shots at different angles. I've known Nocomply for 10 years now and I'm confident that he knows what he's doing. He's not the sort of chap to do anything that would put himself at risk. Yakumo
Pictures aren't an issue. You can see them on a few places. I would just not give away WHO the vendor is, as not everyone has them and it may piss some people off that you have one.
