Does Stage 50 work for anyone else? The game says it's missing a file whenever I try to load the level.
holy hell. i would have paid through the nose for this, and here it is for free. this is a tremendous find. thanks for working to find a way to release it, darcagn!
I cant get past the 6th map, after I wipe out the enemies there the game doesnt go any further. The char keeps walking, the music keeps looping and nothing else happens, i have to reset it. Am I doing anything wrong? btw in map6 some samples of Underworld's Rez/Cowgirl are playing ray:
Hmm, 6th map? Do you mean the final boss? You can only play though stages 1 to 2 as normal. I found that to enter the other stages you need to select them from the menu. I did notice that stage 3 didn't warp in to other areas but just stayed on the same area until I had completed it about 6 or so times. They the game went straight to the boss. This could have been caused by me messing about with the options at the time though. Yakumo
this is one of the most interesting betas out there. I'm suprised they left in such various debug options within the game such as checking the textures and such. I like the music in this version as well.
for those of you who wanted a GDI/gd-rom dump version of this disc, i uploaded the original source files here: http://underground-gamer.com/details.php?id=27340
No no, 6th map(as it is named on the debug window) of the first stage. I guess Ill burn another one, I think this one is corrupted!
Call me a noob for bumping the thread but I can't get this to work on my dreamcast. I got the file from Megaupload. My KPROJECT.CDI has the following checksums: MD5 bbba87ba8e57118072383471350ecdcb CRC32 21763fcb SHA1 c5c8775c09a66160a72f9b369021b9fc6b4b07bc I downloaded it twice. Both have the same checksum. I could burn the image "successfully" with Alcohol 120% (but only in RAW mode) and also by CloneCD and Nero after mounting it with Daemon Tools. The game will boot from CD in Chankast (0.25) but not on my Dreamcast. What made me suspicious is that on my Macbook LiquidCD couldn't burn the .cdi image while someone on the LostLevel forums said it worked. Also Alcohol 120% (in any other mode but RAW) or Discjuggler would burn only the first session. Does it have something to do with the three track structure? I've wasted like five CD-R already but I really want to try this. Any help is appreciated. Oh, the dreamcast can read and boot CD-R just fine.
I have this issues a few times myself. i know the game IS selfboot but try to boot with Utopia loader, that seemed to fix some games for me.
Strange. I downloaded the latest Alcohol 120% from the website, burned without touching any settings, and everything worked 100%. Discjuggler would always crash on me.
That's what I get from Alcohol 120% (simulated recording): ####################### Dumping/Recording Progress Log ####################### ********* Time stamp of this log file: 22.05.2008 00:00:28 ********* 00:00:28 Processor info: Mobile Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.06GHz (3056MHz) 00:00:28 Memory Available to Windows: 457.712 KB 00:00:28 Memory Buffer size: 178 MB 00:00:28 Image file loading: D:\...\KPROJECT.CDI 00:00:28 Source Info: Session: 2, Track: 3, Length: 696.1 MB / 79:12:18 00:00:39 (F SONY DVD+RW DW-P50A(1:0): Recording Method/Speed 00:00:39 Simulated recording - DAO / SAO - 16X (2400 KB/Sec) 00:00:39 (F SONY DVD+RW DW-P50A(1:0): BURN-Free activated 00:02:34 (F SONY DVD+RW DW-P50A(1:0): Simulated recording completed! 00:02:34 Elapsed Time: 00:01:55, Average speed: 5.5X 00:02:34 Image file loading failed! 00:02:34 Error message: Write to memory buffer failed! 00:02:37 Something is wrong with the recording procedure! Sounds like you may have a bad image file. I used Disc Juggler or was it Nero to burn mine without any problems. If you want I can upload a Nero image file of my copy for you if you need. You'll need soem place I can upload it to though. yakumo
Seems my original post dissapeared... Anyway, this is a great find, but wasnt K-project the alpha? the one where everything but the main "character" is different? Theres some videos of it on youtube.
