This game is based on a french movie and novel, it was only released in Japan and is in japanese, see video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dIR3N-VUhxw Apparently this game was supposed to be released outside of Japan as reviewers from Europe got review copies of the game, so I was wondering if any non-japanese version of the game has ever surfaced in any way or shape?
Hi, a PAL review copy was on ebay few days ago but the listing ended. But I am aslo interested by your thread. Hope someone will have more infos.
Yes, he relisted it for me because I asked him if he still have the game. I made an offer and he sold me the game. Very Nice guy ! Hope to get more informations on that game when it will be in my hands.
Yes, strange coincidence ! When I saw your thread, I remembered that I was looking for a review version of this game since a long time. So after reading your thread, I restart looking for the game and I found the ended auction on ebay. About the price, I have paid a lot ! lol, maybe to much for one game : 500 euros. But I have just received a promotion at work so....it helped me buying the game. And it is a very unique occasion to get my hand on this game !
Yeah, thats alot of money but its good that you managed to get it at that price (the guy wanted much much more than that for this review copy, but I doubt there is any demand for it aside from handful of people). When you get it I would be interested to know if the game was voiced in english and french (it would be weird if they did go though all the trouble of getting the english and french voice actors from the movie only to have the game cancelled) and maybe you could upload a gameplay video on youtube if possible too?
Yes Geralt, don't worry, I will tell you more informations about the game when I will be able to play it. The seller told me that the voices are in English, and from the actors of the film. I need to verify that but it is a good thing if it is true !! And I will try to post a gameplay video on youtube or dailymotion. About the price, I have discussed the price before the seller put the auction on ebay. He put a huge price just to be sure that nobody buy it before I made my offer. Can't wait to receive the review copy (if the copy is not a fake lol). Keep in touch.
I was referring to this also: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/331339207713/ But maybe that was an error? Thank you.
The fact that this exists is kind of blowing my mind. Obscure French animated film receives even more obscure French video game, but only released in Japan ...
I have the Japanese version, a so so game. Different and also supports the DPad wich transposes to an Arcade stick for this 3d explore game. It uses a fixed Camera that changes views while walking around as in the old Resident Evil/Silent Hill games, though no way near as good.
Yes, me too. I heard about the Kaena video game before knowing that this game is from a French movie. Geralt, you're right, the first price was this one. CRTGAMES, thanks for these informations. We'll see if there is any gameplay differences (but I don't think so). I think the only difference will be the language.
It wasn't an auction. It was a "Buy Now" game. The seller just put a huge price in order to avoid people to buy it before I made an offer. The first time he put the game on ebay, the price was also huge. I guess he didn't really know the price for that kind of thing. I was skeptical when I bought the game. I am still skeptical. I will see what will happend.
Hello ! Long time no speak. So, I don't have any news now. I almost didn't touch any of my video games since a long time (few problems during the last monthes). But I am back here now ! My DTL PS2 Test is still broken. So I still need to find one to test the game (I also need hardware to dump N64 and Gameboy prototypes hahaha) so I will not able to do it in the coming days (unless I found a good offer on ebay or on the market place . But I will keep you updated !
Why would you need a dtl??? ESR has been out on the ps2 for a long time now. As well pcsx2 on the pc...
Sometimes people don't have as powerful of a PC so PCSX2 is out sometimes. Using a DTL may be beneficial as it may have interesting debug detection that may only show up if played on a DTL system. Granted theres sometimes instances where the game things PCSX2 is a DTL system but it isn't common. It's merely a matter of what's available to the person.
Aren't you referring to a TOOL then? A DebugStation (DEX) unit is essentially a retail set that is region-free and can boot masterdiscs. It offers no debugging functionality on its own, so it's only worthwhile for games to check for the presence of a TOOL.
