I definitely like the scan above. I played that game a few days ago at Walmart, and it was pretty neat.
Popping it in the xbox and exploring the files just shows you the AudioTS and VideoTS or whatever it is folders with VOB files. Letting it execute on the xbox reveals this:
Since the discs are now in rolation.... the l33t h4xz0rz can start early with exploring 'how do we crack these discs' ah well there is no stopping to it anyway.
is the text there just the vob files playing or is it actual xbox code which moves up the question whats shown in the vobs
Actualy, if I remember corectly a team of "l33t h4xz0rz" cracked the systems copy protection about two months ago using four of the first XBox360 retail units which they had somehow got their hands on. They had pictures of the system disassembled with the mod chip and what not. I don't remember which team it was, but I do recall that they were one of the better known ones that made xbox mod chips (might have been team xecuter).
It was SmartXX who disassembled the dev kit, but I don't think the mod chip actually did anything. I get the feeling it will be a little more difficult for the mod chip developers to figure something out this time.
It's just VOB files. Also, I got to play the game for a little bit. It's definitely very pretty, but it's really nothing new either. Although it does have co-op which is interesting. Plus the little rock guy you obtain (the 2nd one) has a move where he sounds like he's constipated and then explodes.
