kameo on xbox1

just been browing through some old xbox mags that got given to me at the weekend and theres loads of previews and screens of kameo for the orginal xbox and it looks fantastic!

was there any playable code of it ever leaked or released? (like the lamborghini demo on the oxm disc) as would love to see the game in action

 

I put a video of that up on my ftp ages ago that was kindly donated to me. Maybe a few people here may still have a copy.

Diddydonn, I have even SEEN the disc for this, but never purchased it as at the time I was rather down to brass pennies! I believe the demo for it was playable and offered up the first 1 or 2 levels for play.

 

right then! its time for me to start hunting! ive just found some of my old oxm demo discs out and theres a couple with video footage on them, but id never heard of a actual playable demo of it, was the demo you saw freely avaiable? or more like a preview beta sent to game reviewers?

 

I'll ask the original owner and get back to you ;-) As far as I am aware it was not freely available as it is still a fairly highly sought after piece of software. He'll have more answers than I do.

 

Theres a lot of videos of it on different discs, like Grabbed By The Ghoulies.

 

I've got GBTG and never noticed it? US release only maybe. Must check

ive found some vids, just got to rip them from a oxm disc and figure out how to convert it to a useable format, as for pics, ive got about 10 xbox mags all with different pics and previews for it, unfortunatly no scanner! ill try and take a couple with my digicam and see how they turn out

 

From what I remember, it is remarkably similar to the 360 version. Clearly, better, but wholly recognisable. It's not like some early revisions where you think "I don't recognise this at all"

Yeah i remember reading someone here explaining he had a kameo on xbox 1 copy running.
Would be even more interesting to get the very early GC betas. But the xbox 1 version should have been almost totally complete !

 

the GC ver wasnt that far along. Besides, it was more of a pokemon-type game than what it ended up being. Kameo could capture the little beasts and pit them against other beings in the realm etc.

 

Oh sounded really different. Leaving some project in development hell make them grow interestly sometimes ^^

 

ok ive got a couple of vids for kameo (ripped from grabbed by the ghoulies), but theyre in xmv format, have googled around and cant seem to find any converter that will work. i know theres a xmv player in the xdk, but ive lost the disc with the xdk on,

so at the moment im stuck, if anyone wants me to send them the vids to convert id be more than happy to do so

also found some intersted vids for other unleasesed games whilst trawling through 40odd oxm discs, inc b.c. redstar, lamborghini, starcraft ghost etc, but again theyre all in xmv!

 

Ah Lamborghini! There is someone here on the boards who has that particular title and as always, I wouldn't wish to say anything without their go ahead so all I can say is that he/she thought it was a fantastic title. He/she has previously mentioned it however so it might be an idea to search it.

Funnily enough, an eBayer a while ago was trying to sell the magazine DEMO disc for a stupid price because of the Lamborghini aspect. Here's a screenshot from it:
