Hopefully a Chinese pirate outlet gets ahold of the cart and/or the ROM, so that they can make some nice cartridges out of it ;-)

Why interested in buying for that price? :witless:

Hope so too , been after this game for a long time .Just wish it would have been around for the tax-return season(and maybe posted on ebay or here instead of a shady website), would have gotten it in a heartbeat heh.

I can see why this got canned to be honest. Sammy have published some really high end fighting games in the past and even their lesser appreciated games like The Rumble Fish haven't really caught on as much as the likes of the games developed by Arc System Works. Unless something went wrong internally at Dream Factory it's likely player response was moot. This game reminds me of another canned fighting game, Capcom Fighting All Stars. There's a thing to consider when making fighting games, especially on arcade platforms, and that's what the player wants. It's easy to make a terrible 3D fighting game, sometimes games are bland and uninteresting, broken beyond repair or simply not right for the competetive market. If players don't find the game interesting they're not going to play it and arcade owners aren't going to make an investment on their purchase. When you're competing with developers like Arc System Works, SNK or even Dimps you really have to prodce something that's going to live up to the same standard and survive in the market. Take Capcom Fighting All Stars for example, it was an experimental game which looks fun but players didn't like, it conflicted between 2D and 3D fighting game communities, competitively players prefer one or the other and time has shown many times that hybrids don't really survive. If you make a really bad hybrid players aren't going to take it seriously, it's likely that factored in to their decision to drop the game.

Nice find, that looks great! (but somewhat blurry, maybe you should get a VGA capture card, probably as expensive though)
I noticed you started this thread three and half years ago, you're quite a dedicated AW fan.

That sounds rather interesting. How early is it? Would it be the 1st version shown?(which was a direct port of the dc version before the gameplay was revamped to what it is now.)

Na, the disk says its 70% complete, but I haven't had time to do heavy research yet, nor do I have the final version of the game handy.

I see.Its still every interesting though, gunvalkyrie went through ALOT of change so who knows what version you have, you are gonna have to do alot of research. There seems to be two distinct versions though : Dreamcast gameplay version which was shown only once on the dreamcast then a direct port with upped graphics on the xbox. Then the second version which is more similar to final game when it comes to gameplay and enemies/location, with in the 2nd version there was trailers that had shown some places/weapons that did not make it to the final game( sarutobas sword and kelly running in some sort of shrub maze). It also doesnt help the some of the press reported gunvalkyrie running on pentium 4 pcs , so there seems to be alot of mystery behind this title. I remember Yakumo posted the e3 trailer as the beta despite it was closer to the final version than the trailer shown in an earlier event which I cant remember what was it( tgs ?)
Seems I hijacked my own thread and blabbed on.lol.
