The Killzone 2 demo will be available on the European PSN network today. Oppossed to the US, the demo will not be linked to any pre-order data. For those in the US and Asia wanting to grab the demo one needs to create an European account.

Looking forward to it myself, please share your opinion about this masterpiece.

    KILLZ ONE TWO

One huge download but absolutely fucking amazing demo. I'm not a graphics whore but damn I almost soiled myself - slick as fuck. Not surprised there are over 1.1 million European pre-orders for this one. Fuck it, I'm doing it again. Remember the PS3 death clock thread?! Haha, forget that shit, this is amazing stuff!

I bet there are a huge amount of european psn accounts created this week :)

I think I know what you are getting at - it's a bit different to some similar stuff, it feels 'weighty', the movement?

Sort of. Its not as bad running through my projector. Demo is incredibly short though, so the second I feel like "Yeah, Ive got this", it ends

Just played it,....way, way too short. Hard to pass any judgement on it. Took about 10 minutes. That in itself is sad as the PS3 has finally something decent coming out.

Gfx - good, but I hope the full game shines more as it did not live up to the hype.

    Sound - wow!

    Gameplay - intense.

Living up to its hype? Can't say, demo is too short. Impressed? Yes and no. Good? Yes!

They finally posted the update list for the US, and even though they never said the demo would come to the store today, I was surprised they actually gave EU the demo and not the US:

Is this demo (or game, take your pick) really worth the hassle? :\

EDIT: I know you have to preorder KZ2 in order to get the demo in the states, but what I'm saying is that it's pretty odd they actually gave EU the upper hand here.

Why? It was coded in Europe.

That doesn't mean a lot. Home was coded in Europe, and as far as I know, they still have things left from the closed beta still up while every single region that has Home is different (Japan being the best one, afaik). What I meant was that the European store usually never has things before anyone else does. Sony knows how easy it is to just make a new account to access a store from the different region, so I wonder why they even bothered with the whole preorder code thing. I guess they're making more money that way.

But anyway, I heard that the Gamestop preorder demo was a lot different than the European one. But I think it's pretty obvious as to why. But at least the US will get the demo Febuary 26th, just as long as it doesn't get delayed.

I played it yesterday, and technically, (with the exception of some textures) is the best thing that've I've seen in this generation. The animations are and effects superb. If you have problems with the control scheme, change it to alternative 2 and activate manual zoom.

Just finished the demo and fuck 1.2 gigs for 10 minutes of gameplay is way way way too short. The game itself looks mindblowingly good, deffinitly best looking game on the PS3 by far. Gameplay wise the controls do feel a bit sluggish/confusing at times but the game keeps a nice fast pace so your constantly barraged with action (hope this goes for the full game as well)
