Agreed, but it lost it's cinematic touch which I liked, but yeah game looks good, I'm sure low-res trailer doesn't do it any justice, but at last something decent on the PS3 (apart from MGS4) Sabre
Now i hope the gameplay won't kill it. Games that are hyped this much usually suck (imho). But we'll see...
WOW. This blows anything currently out on next gen out of the water. Even CoD4! I can't believe they managed to get that opening down in realtime. The mist effects were very impressive and the lighting looks fantastic.
I have Gears and this already beats it IMO. Far better art direction, better animation, better lighting. Lack of effects at the moment, particularly shadowing and shaders, but then again it's an early alpha. Biggest issue is that it's not out until 2008.
As i said, USUALLY. (although i havent played killzone). But i thought that for example GoW, Fable, Black & White, Halo2 were all pretty average; certainly not worth the hype.
I'm saying Killzone 1 agrees with your statement. It was badly overhyped by fanboys as sony's answer to Halo and it just was not that good nor anywhere near the greatness of halo. Halo 2 was good but halo 1 was better.
I was expecting a poor game after all the mess they made with the CG trailer but the game surprised me. It has some really good things and still has time to improve before its launch.
I'm gonna start off saying I don't like gears or war to much but I will agree the graphics are good. Killzone 2 has really amazing graphics but I'm still a little unsure here since it looks like its still rendered to me.
Totally agree, I have GOW too and KZ2 is adding a lot more to the mix with all the different effects and damagable environments. Over all I could KZ2 selling more copies then GOW IF the gameplay is there to match.
I saw this and thought it looked absolutely breath-taking! I really liked some of the bits more than I thought I would... I watched some parts atleast 4 times in a row.:thumbsup: I never even played Killzone despite everything that I heard about it... Still want to. So I guess I will wait and see.... oh.. and i sorta need a PS3... :lol:
Killzone one was really over hyped I thought with people calling it "the halo killer" but Killzone 2 like you said looks breath taking and if it comes out like that graphics wise expect PS3s to fly off the shevels. Also its never to late to get a PS3 since theres plenty to go around :thumbsup:
Yeah definately. PS3 defiantely has a bright future. Aswell as the Wii and 360. They just need time and time to unleash their full potential. And I should snag a PS3 pretty soon while I can still get one for $500!!! :lol:
Things are looking up for the PS3. I didn't even buy a PS2 until last summer after a Played Guitar Hero. :lol: I never played the first Killzone, how was the multiplayer? It was online right?
