IGN, along with GameSpot (read this, ironically from IGN but still illustrates a point), are the epitome of groups of people NOT to trust with much (especially reviews), since all it takes is an exchange of cash to sway a review, or the threat of pulling reviewers copies of upcoming games to sway how something is put into light. It's nothing new, it won't stop anytime soon, and those two aren't the only ones that are guilty. As far as the "one of those bitter gamers that hate everything" deal, bullshit my good man, bullshit. I'm not a bitter gamer at all.
I'll make it simple: IGN<-----owned by: NewsCorp----->which also owns: FoxNews and The Wall Street Journal (one is full of shit, the other isn't exactly counter-corporative...)
Actually, apparently Party Babyz is a fairly good game. Here is another review I came across on a message board:
What? You mean Kinectimals wasn't the type of game you were dying to play as a kid? On that note, I'm not sure how hardcore gamers are "assholes". I would think Microsoft would be the assholes given how they've sacrificed most every series and worthwhile game developer to back this nonsense.
Word, I already stated my theory that MS next console will be more like the Wii and less like the X360. Making a highend console doesnt pays like it used to, while the Wii with some really outdated HW outsold and outprofited both X360 and PS3. My take? if Kinect sells like expected then the nextgen Xbox will be just slightly more powerful than the current, with a smaller design and kinect built-in, no controllers at all (or sold separately). Considering all the money lost on both Xboxs, this move would be seen as the only logical thing to do by the beancounters at redmond.
