hi everyone i managed to get hold of a fighting mania machine, so excited to play it, when i turn it on everything is fine until it trys to initialize the pads and all 6 move out and then move back in, all lights work on them, but still saying pad initialize error.
i went onto test settings and found the i/o section and it shows all the pads reading error (255) but every now and then if i move the machine 1 or 2 pads may flash white saying they work, then back to red saying error. i think it might be a loose wire from when it was delivered in the van.
ive spoke to the guy i bought it off, he dont know why, and saying it was working when it left which he was bound to say.

    Any help would be great.

    thanks
    charlie

Trace the wires from the pads back to the motherboard and look for loose or broken connections.

hi mate thanks for the reply just done that no loose or broken wires. ive noticed that when i leave it a littel while 10mins or so the error starts to flicker on the pads, starts with the left side, its in the garage and its cold at the moment could it just be cold or slightly damp?

You could also use a multi meter and see if there might be a wire that is broken inside it's shielding then if they are good then look at other possibilities.

Hi guys i managed to fix it, it happened to be really simple, in the back of the machine you have a transformer that connects to to the game system. there are 2 switches one at the front and one at the back, the one at the front was switched on and i can only think that when i layed the machine down in the van to move it, the second switch tripped and turned off, all i needed to do was turn it on lol simple simple.

i hope this helps anyone who may have the same problem.

    thanks
