Wow. So this seems to have capitulated from what was a heated, yet still reasonably well conducted conversation, into a noob circle-jerk. No coincidence this place took a quality dive around 2013/14.

Back on some sort of OT - Guardiana is a fantastic website for Sega collectors, especially fans of MD game variants.

 

About two weeks ago (august 10) it took me probably a half an hour to find images of the box front and back with Google. Those images were used to update this db entry, which originally just had a pic of the cart:

When things get tough, I do my foreign language searches in the native language. Especially with a common search as Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Mega Drive. It is better to search in Korean language if you are trying to specifically find Korean items. So for this, you would search for 바람돌이 소닉 2, and possibly only on .co.kr domains.

Korean releases, boxes front/back not just carts, seem to be in the dark side or unknown on the internet. I do not think that it is because the information is not out there, but that we need better ways to find it.

 

So let me get this straight....there is no info out there at all according to OP, yet vgcollect (which I understand is a pretty well known and used site (not by me though clearly haha)), and Guardiana (imo an essential resource for any MD variant collector) have info.

OP, to clairfy, I was not and am not having a go at you for providing info, far from it, that scan is great, thanks. If I have come across as such, I truly apologise. I just take issue with the way you presented it as an internet first, when it simply isn't. This place is about accuracy as much as it is the obscure. There is too much misinformation out there as it is.

 

No worries. Things got out of hand, and I might not have known the best places to look. I just couldn't find things through common searches. With my health limiting severely my time using the PC, it makes it very difficult. I just hope what I've done can add to what's out there already, and hopefully now we can have some high resolution documentation on this release. I do apologize for the following insanity.
