Theres no real revenge though, I treated the guy nice except in the rare instances that he mentions. Its scary that some people hold grudges over such trivial things and ignore the good versus bad.

Initially, I thought that the revenge was amazing. Really it isn't. He simply scammed you plain and simple. You two agreed to a bargain and he didn't deliver on his end. There is nothing amazing about this. He did not master mind an uber brilliant scheme.

What is amazing is the reason he decided he needed to exact such revenge. Absolutely amazing. Amazingly crazy.

?? Its a post warning users not to deal with a member who is registered here (but is now banned).

    Whats with the hostility???

Edit: If its about that nr reader, it was done through PM's which as has been said all along PM sales are fine and before the rule was made.

I think the guy had a point, although obviously he shouldn't have scammed you (not to mention him sounding like a drama queen).

In this very thread, you talk about "using your connections" to get him an NR Reader at a decent price. I don't know about other people, but to me that sounds really elitist. I'm not sure anyone really cares what kinds of "connections" you have - I know I don't. You got the guy an NR Reader, and that's all that really needed to be said.

If the things he said in that letter were true (such as you saying he wasn't "smart enough" to figure something out), I can see why he'd be upset. There's no need for stuff like that.

I am not defending what he did (honestly, what the fuck...), but maybe you should listen to at least a *few* things he said.

Just so you don't get offended this time, I did try to make this post a bit more civil than my last one. I'm more abrasive than I need to be sometimes.

The first post was written up with another community in mind (to explain some things which they werent familiar with). I should have edited it a bit for the Assembler community but after writing all that out It took a really long time and I was just interested in getting word out not to do business with him. I also wanted to make the point that I was treating the guy well, by getting him a discounted price on an NR Reader.

I didnt word that smart comment in such a harsh way as he says, I was basing the assumption that he wasnt "smart" enough to do that on his own admisions earlier in reguards to his previous attempts at stuff of this nature.

I don't mind the critisizm when its done so politely ;)

Well i think some people need to grow up. plain and simple just because you call someone gay or stupid or what ever doesn't give you the right to fuck them out of real money or properties. I for one am glad you posted this story. I hope he finds it seriously hard to grow his ill be gotten prototypes.

You're absolutely right. If Krieg747 was insulted, it would've turned out a bit better if he had said something about it, rather than steal two prototypes.

Other than Dot50Cal's loss, I find the situation rather comical. His feelings were so hurt that he had to show off his e-penis by claiming to hack a prototype? Most of the text is pretty funny.

Well then why didn't you say this all the way back then? That way you wouldn't be out of one stinking beta/prototype/etc and you'd be a happy camper.

Of course, what he did was wrong but he did it in a way that would ultimately leave a mark, and it did. Who knows. Maybe he was planning this right from the get-go just to weasle out some prototypes from you.

Don't be such a fool next time, not to be taken as an offense though. Always suspect the unexpectable.

Reminds me of the time I traded a Xbox for a pre-release version of Wind Waker, only to find out later that he never had a pre-release version and faked it (Similar circumstances, too, minus the hacking part). Anywho, man...People sure take comments seriously...Must of thought you were insulting his "abilities", and tried to prove a "point" (Mostly all bullshit on his part).

A blank dvd-r (or nr), for the use of your "connections", that dont seem like it adds up to much ,and seems too good to be true. Maybe you can use your connections to get him back, I dont know why you would even give his money back, with that, you essentially sold those protos to him, and you got paid.

But , for a revenge story, its got to be one of the best, and go down in the books, well thought out etc, one for the ages ,and for what its worth, i never cared much for RE.

    Id keep the money!

I'd agree with CJ on one point only. If you haven't sent the money back, keep it. It will turn his sweet revenge into a money making transaction. Albeit an unwanted one, but it will completely undermine his plot.
