It is sad, laserdisc was a great format. My old Pioneer CLD-D703 died :crying: and I'm now using my backup Pioneer CLD-K77G. :thumbsup: Yeah, I believe 2001/2002 were some of the last releases. ^_^_^
Yes, but in the link provided by Pikkon it says that Pioneer continued to manufacture players because Japanese people had large collections of LD or something like that.
LaserDiscs are still active on the reseling market, i was looking though hyperhobby Japan, and lots of toy shops advertised DVD/CD/LD as well
