whats with all the xenon hate, its only a 30% Failure rate (that rhymes perfectly) But on-topic wise, Doom, if u can solder, sounds like a decent idea. And if all else fails, you could buy a rrod kit for cheep and just swap the nands? It would be cheeper than buying one new.
yes, but not everytime working. but it is another option # About 16nand... retail have got also big nand, but You can't put it on dev, because big nand is from jasper, you can't put it on xenon dev... from know reason CB...
There's a few of us running BB Kits, so atleast it's a viable last resort if it ever boils down to it. -Doom
I know its slightly off topic, but perhaps we could get a sticky with the MD5's of all the working recovery discs to avoid killing off what kits are out in the wild?
Ok I didn't use cygnos, because well that is a horrible idea to install period, might sound good on paper but it's pointless now days. Also I ran this on my xbr console not a my kit as there was no point to update to .9 since I was on .9. Once it did it's thing I unplugged it, then it was completly dead, thenjust reflashed xbr and all was fine, if you have a nand back up there should be no reason why this wouldn't work for you as well. If for whatever reason it doesn't detect your nand controller chip, trick it into thinking it's there, look at the links posted there is more information there. I didn't have to do anything special to get it to redetect my flash config. Hawk
Only reason shit is private is because people have proven they can't be responsible with dev material. Instead we get 12-16 year olds leaking shit off PN and pissing microsoft off.
Not a discussion that anyone wants to have here. Short version, so long as there are people selling leaked hardware there will be people downloading leaked software. Debating who is more "legit" is pointless because you can pretty much guarantee that the vast majority of the people who have kits and discs have them as the result of leaks. The only people who are legit are those who got them straight from MS. If you bought your kit on the secondary market, you're not legit. The only exception to this would be an acquistion via a bankruptcy court proceeding and even then, it would only be as-is. If you truly want to prevent leaks, then I suggest you report all instances of kit sales (here, X-S, Seven Sins, xboxhacker, etc.) to MS. If no one has leaked hardware then there will be no demand for leaked software. Keep things focused on the topic and technical issues. If you want to contribute to the topic, great. If you want to debate who's leak is better, check the off-topic forum. No need to have a conflict of egos (which is where the whole "leak" topic always ends up). -hl718
i have bricked my kit with that sh*t too,but i have another RROD kit, Can i just simply exchange the nand and do a recovery again?
Do you have a back up of the nand from the kit you bricked? You should be able to repair it if so, and I highly doubt putting on the nand from another xdk will work. Why would you run the update when it was posted as a fake in this thread with many complaints. Hawk
Thank you for reply well,i bricked the kit before i saw this post...and i don't think the kit will suppose to boot if the nand key dose not math?
