What was the last officially released SNES game? Just curious to see what it was, since i cant seem to find a list
In the U.S., it was Kirby's Dreamland 3 as Wikipedia stated it to be released in November 1997. Super Famicom games were still made in 1998 in Japan, and they even had a downloadable service that was only taken down in the 2000s. I forgot when. You can't put a good system down.
The last ever made SFC game was made by HAL but I can't find it o their site. It was a remake of an old Famicom game and to be honest, still looked crap on the Super Famicom. Yakumo
It really depends on what you want to consider as a release date. Zoop was re-released by Majesco in 2000, which was the final US release. The final original release seems to be Frogger in 98, which was the only original Majesco game for the SNES. The final game in europe was Timone and Puma, also by Majesco. I'm not sure about japan. Digitpress had a thread where they argued about it for a while... here: http://www.digitpress.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=39323 Here's the list of "Final" games for each system: http://www.digitpress.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20095
In my opinion "Fire Emblem Tharcia" was the last game to be released on Super Famicom. And I am pretty sure that I am right Fire Emblem Tharcia was originally released as a Satellaview game, but Nintendo decided to rerelease the game on cartridge in late 2000...
that is correct cahaz, though no one really made big note of it but it was. Japan it lasted quite long suprisingly compared to the us.
Yep, I can confirm Frogger was the last us SNES game. It came out sometime in 1998 (someone asked the same question on NintendoXtreme a few years ago and I gave them the exact date, but it seems that post is now gone and no one seems to agree on what the day/month was anymore).
Yeah, I remember buying Frogger at Walmart whenever Pokemon Red was out. It was the only SNES game they had there, and it was damn fun.
Ummm.... no. Wario's Woods was the last Liscensed NES game, this topic is refering to SNES games. Which would be frogger... like i said in the 4th post.
The thread is over a year old and the posters in question are no longer members here. If you're looking to post-whore, you might want to pick a more relevant topic. -hl718
Assembler is full of useful information. I've read and responded to old message many times before. The Search button at the top can bring up many interesting topics.
