Tutorial: How To Replace Capacitors on Game Gear

Here is my tutorial on fixing common issues with the game gear, there weren't many clear videos on YouTube showing this so I thought I'd make a video! Hehe

 

So what does everyone think of the videos so far?? Any feedback?

 

well i gave you my feedback on your channel,i like the clear while style of the videos the only think i think you can tweak is when you are talking how to take apart a handheld or console you could just say undo these *arrows points at the screw points* with a standard phillips and undo these *arrows in another color points at other screw points* with a torx 10. only a little tweaking so you sound like you are talking to someone who is a little less of a noob than in your previous videos

 

I have really enjoyed your videos and they have been really high quality in all terms Im also very excited about your psx project, really hoping i can one day load games off the HDD and also translate the console from japanese to english.

 

Please stop spamming this site with your shamless crappy self promotion. your videos suck and have so few views for a reason.

 

Calm down cowboy, there is life beyond stupid over the top gameplay videos.

Videos are ok, well done hardware tutorials that needs something more than stay in front of the microphone talking shit, every dumb can do one of that.

ok let's break down your "feedback"

"You are spamming"... Ok so containing my uploads to a single thread on a regular basis, only posting elsewhere when it it is within appropriate context, is somehow spamming? Hmmm let's see, no, not really. My uploads (as stated before) are usually kept within context, ie: "lehams YouTube Channel". A fairly fitting title for the content contained within, don't you think?

"Stop self promoting" ... Take some points from my rebuttal above, the whole purpose of this thread and by extension the sub-forum where it is contained, are for Users self promotion. I worked hard making these videos, I'm only starting out but I feel I'm getting better. The content I make is stuff I'd want to see (YOU-TUBE).

"Your Videos Suck and have little views for a reason" ... Again read my two previous rebuttals. Why do they suck? This is the point of asking feedback, ok you don't like my content.. Why!? I can't improve if you don't give me an example.. My videos have little views for a reason, well yes they do! Mainly because I'm only new and most of my videos are aimed towards a very specific topic (a tutorial). I don't care about views, as long as at least one person gains something from my work.. The whole reason I started making videos was NOT for views, fame or money. It was to rebuild MY self esteem, I am always open to feedback but all you want to do is be silly about it.

I don't like calling people out on stuff but you really left little choice, you have been quite mean. I'm not looking for sympathy here, however being silly isn't going to do much...


if you maybe gave some consice example of what you think I should improve on, then I will take them in and try to improve on those areas if it can help make my content nicer.

I think I get what you mean, so is using all the same color arrows for different screws confusing? Now I think about it it probably is a little -oops- do you think having the screw type written down the bottom would be good? But yeah I think the different color arrows is an excellent idea! Thanks!

hehe I'm excited too, just need to replace my PSX (I don't know if you follow my blog but yeah my only PSX is dead ATM)

well both are possible, translating the console to English turned out to be very simple (thanks to another guy, i forgot his name). Playing games off the hdd should be possible too but I warn people against it until the HDD protection is worked out.. Hey the PSX may support dual hdds on the IDE port but that's only a slim possibility. There's always USB HDDs

PS I only have a Dual Ascii GameGear, so if anyone has a single ascii console and wants a GGTV fitted for free (you'll have to supply the GGTV) I'd be happy to do that, so I can have the unit covered fully on my channel..
