:banghead: If you legally purchase/license the ROM from the proper rights owner, then you can use it (e.g. compilation disk, digital distribution, etc.). If you did not, then you cannot use it except in the case where you own the original hardware from which it was dumped.
XII Stag- Taito Gnet playstation based Tenkomori shooting- Sony ZN based System 12 I think. Darius Gaiden- F3 system YOU WERE SAYING? I edited my blog to include actual text FROM COPYRIGHT LAW that supports my argument. But lets stop from making this a flame war. We have too many of those Take 50 games. any 50 games and I'll tell you what hardware they're on. If I get them right you'll get off my back on this issue. I can name 10 arcade systems off hand now F3 (Taito), Gnet (Taito), Sony ZN (Capcom) System 11 and 12 (Namco) ,Cave 1st gen, PGM, Irem Hardware were a series of M plus a number M107 being the last, Cobra (konami unreleased? 1 game on it was poised to be a virtua fighter 3 killer) Xboard (sega used for After burner and other classics) and Seta had 2 boards in the late 80s and early 90s There ya go I know my arcade hardware
The way I see it, if you have a problem with the methods GoH likes to play these games then don't post. Simple really.
This is not a forum for piracy. I take offense to people with no legal knowledge or background who twist and flat out misrepresent the law in order to somehow justify that piracy is legal.
Yeah even when they use the law to support them... besides it's not like I'm saying, HEY I need DS games and I have an R4.... I DO know where to get DS games and I DO hate Nintendo enough to just download but I don't
Personally, I think this forum walks a thin enough line as it is considering that legally, none of us should probably even have any of this development hardware/software. Discussion of piracy is crossing that line and can only lead to bad things. If you actually played any of those 710 romz for any length of time you'd realise that Armed Police Batrider is the greatest thing ever and you don't actually need any more games. Except for Under Defeat on the Dreamcast. I paid £120 for my Batrider PCB and it was worth every penny. I couldn't give a shit about all the mateys with their brand new £1200 CAVE PCBs, I had Batrider (and Cyvern) and that was enough for me. Infact, I want it back and I've been looking at those Astro City cabs on eBay....
If you're looking for something obscure I'd probably do some research on Korean shmups. Granted I believe most of them are considered crap, but that's not to say there isn't the possibility of finding a few hidden treasures. I just haven't read up enough on them to have much of an educated opinion.
1. Yeah put that 360 Dev kit away before Master Chief ESQ throws you a lawsuit grenade. 2. Batraider is cool I haven't played it in a while. Though, Guwange.... Catspider best thing ever. 3. I don't really care for Under Defeat. But I am a fan of Grev Paid $80 for Border down. 4. I don't have room for a cab or super gun or PCBs My Laptop fits in a bag that fits in the corner of my room. Korean anything can be either Crap or the most amazing thing ever (Crap- DJ Max, AMAZING- Pump it up)
