Yeah it really doesn't sound like the MM8 stage select. Not that it's bad but it just doesn't sound like what it's supposed to be. Maybe becasue it's a radically different style. Maybe I'll make Bad Box Art Mega Man in SCV assuming I can figure out what weapon to give him.
Yep. I hate re-spawn. It's just a cheap and nasty way to make a game harder. If you kill something it shouldn't come back after being off screen for a second.
The redub wasn't bad. I really like Mega Man X4, and sadly the english dub was very poor when it could have been grand. I'm looking forward to this OCR Maverick Rising. Thanks for the tip!
Not even close. Street Fighter II has probably sold more copies than all the original Mega Man games combined.
The original game has like this hybrid Electronic/upbeat/fusion style of music. Mine is Power Metal. so, considerably different things ya know? Listen to the Original sound: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PS2v9_ey-sA The Melody(the main melody) is all there. It's just been adapted for another style of music. I took a tiny small piece of music that just loops and arranged it into variations , extensions of the Chord progression, mellow sections, a solo and stuff. It's hard to make a good arrangement of a 14 second piece of music(check it lol) without it being a direct note for note recreation that is super repetitive and really doesn't work as a whole song. I mean, I could do a straight cover, it would take me less than 2 hours to make. It'd probably be enjoyed mostly only by the average MM fans. People in the VGMusic community would be like "lolwut-" >_>
Not so. Apparently Mega Man does edge out street fighter by a few million. http://vgsales.wikia.com/wiki/Best_selling_Capcom_games Only Resident Evil tops Mega Man. Though Street Fighter did it in less games. Either way both SF and Mega Man are critical series to Capcom. Resident Evil also but it hasn't been around quite as long.
Alright here you go @GoH http://k004.kiwi6.com/hotlink/j423ldtdi3/bonkers_megaman_8_stage_select_cover_version.mp3 http://kiwi6.com/file/j423ldtdi3 I did it for Fun anyway, A pretty straight Cover version emulating the exact feel of the original.
I see what you mean OK I listned to your cover again and I did hear it more clearly the 2nd time I don't know why I didn't pick it up the first time. You know I was just thinking alot of original series mega man games don't lend them selves that well to metal...but a metal cover of Gravity man's stage would be awesome!
Megaman 2 and 3 had the best mix of gameplay, music, and balance of characters names. Megaman X had awesome gameplay but shitty music compared to 2 and 3. Megaman 1 was truly mega hard because the controls were not as refined as later megamans, and you could go through an entire stage killing every enemy, without getting a life pellet from them. The hardest of all was megaman for DOS. It makes gouls and ghosts tame. especially if your computer was faster than a 286. this is because the games speed wasnt locked. so if you played on a 486 or a pentium, you were guarenteed to not live.
DOS Mega Man doesn't count since it isn't an official game from capcom. just a Farmed out cash in using the name.
I'ts still a great game, and the first with a intro level. Much more playable than the megaman gameboy series. It was farmed out most likely because capcom didn't know how to dev for a PC.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mega_Man_PC there ya go, up to you if you count them or not, personally I don't
Megaman origins for PC is pretty badass, I only have about 2 hours into it: http://dreamstation64.webs.com/games.htm
I love Megaman 2-6 (so does my girl), and 9 was awesome, but it is indeed brutal. 8, I used to own, and it's not THAT bad. The music does go from awesome to horrendous. And man, FUCK Clown man. But my favourite by far is Megaman X. The music is so intense. The gameplay is super basic, but also really well tuned. X2 was also pretty good, and it has awesome tracks, but it doesn't sound as fantastic as X. The gameplay was also less balanced. X3 was pretty good on Snes, but the PSX one was pathetic. X4, X5 - Those too were awesome, but each had a gimmick that ruined it - the limited time in X5, for example. X4 had the bike part (X5 had one too, if I recall correctly) which made me almost have an aneurysm. I still love them to death, I tell you that. They are hard as fuck, but extremely playable. Also, after X and X2, and the limited mechanic in X3, I just LOVED being Zero. X6 and so on are pathetic, though. I have the collection on Gamecube. I just wish I could get a controller to play them properly. They don't look that bad, but I do remember them looking way more crisp on PSX and Snes. How about Megaman Zero on GBA and Megaman ZX on DS? I really like those, even if Megaman Zero is hit-your-own-dick-with-a-hammer hard. I did finish Zero 4 ZX is quite fun. Haven't finished either of them, though.
Clown Man isn't that hard, unless you mean his stage...which I also don't find that hard. The Order I go in for MM8 is Tengu Man- Clown Man- Grande Made - Frost Man Aqua Man- Sword man- Search Man- Astro man Though you can do Aqua Man after Astro I don't reccomend it and Astro Man's stage is a PAIN IN THE ASS! (even more so in Mega Man and Bass) By far the hardest stage in the game is Wily 1 I too have been playing the X Series on my Game Cube (I have a burn of the collection for my PS2 as well)
Wait, which X game was the one where you played as Zero if X died? Or did I make that up? Really wish Capcom would make a new X game, because the early ones at least were good.
You can tag in Zero in X3 But you are very limited in where you could use him. With Zero in X3 you can't get power up items, you can't get Light Capsules and you can't fight bosses
Impossible. There were so many versions of Street Fighter 2 that this cannot happen. I'm still waiting for Super Mecha Death Street Fighter 2 2000 BC version 4.0 Beta.
Street Fighter 2. Champion Edition. Hyper Fighting. Super SF2. Super SF2 Turbo. That's it. Well they did have Hyper Anniversary Edition later on. You also have Street Fighter 1, 3 Street Fighter 3s, and 4 Street Fighter Alphas (1,2,2Alpha,3). Then you could have Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper. Still less than Mega Man. Plus those are different Mega Man games with several similar SF games. So really SF sold more with less unique games.
No, no, I don't find him hard. I just hate the fucker - his stage, his music, and him. "See you in my dreams" - he says. Pedophile bastard that he is. Fuck Clown Man.
