Well the thing is there is som many games being released on many console and various games being canceled at the same time.

What I want to do is not only go one on one with developers but make usefull changes that not only benifit the consumers but the people making video games and products for videogames.

Right now I want to not only start a petition to bring the rest of the Beyond Good and Evil Triology to the GCN but start a movement made up entierly of fans and players of the game.

So what I am asking for is the support of the entire forum to help me pull this off. What I need is addresses of who I can send my plead to Ubisoft or whoever is in charge of the BG&E series, People ready advert in papers, movies, comics, of there own free will, and lastly people who are willing to put there money where mouth is when the time comes.

Reasons why I believe BG&E is grand or what I liked from BG&E.

The game itself was grand and almost perfect, I enjoyed sailing back and forth on the hover vehical compared to Wind Wakers Boat of little Islands, playing the Mini games, checking out the GCI Wild life, Facing enemies that attacks in diffrent ways, the battle mode itself was what Dinosaur Planet lacked where not only one enemy was attacking you but zillions of enemies, The world exploration was emense, and the story was in the area of Mother/Earthbound, Jade/Shawnie was not dressed up like some hoar or bimbo, and I even wanted to play the game again directly afterwards even if the game is short.

Why is BG&E 2-??? should be on the Cube ?

Well the GCN version is the most sleekest or detailed version of the game from my exprience, The GCN is in more childrens homes and adult homes combined then any X-BOX or PS2, and will more likely be played by somebody who parents are unable to afford a new console for there kids but want something fun for them to play without breaking out $200 in the future, The GCN controllers are the best by far for adventure games, With a converter you can port the PS2, and SNES to PSX for use with the GCN, and lastly the Cube can take advantage of Progressive scan and is easier to program of course.

Why not any other new or used system ?

Well the PS2 version is cruddy, The X-Box is more about 4-bit games comebacks and has less children games that children wants to buy,

360,PS3, and Rev is not much of any upgrade besides the PS3 and is pricey and will make parents think about the price even more then whats offered in the game. I heard recently Nintendo is going to port the GCN Zelda TP to Wii and the GCN will not be playable on the Wii system. Also to a person who uses games 24/7 I myself have yet seen anything on the PS3,360, or Wii that is going to make me jump for a new system.

Thanks for the consideration and I am sure there is other people out there who wan'ts something to be changed and released in the video game industry.

    A few points:
    • Online petitions are a waste of time. The primary motivating factor to make BG&E 2 for Gamecube is money (harsh reality, I'm afraid), and money is not something that will come from developing an expensive new title on a platform that is on the way out. If they were going to make it for any last-gen platform it would be PS2 because sales would be guaranteed higher. Money is what the industry is based on.
    • The Gamecube is certainly not in more homes than the Xbox/PS2 combined.
    • The Xbox version of BG&E was superior graphically to the Gamecube version. The Gamecube version had framerate drops and graphical glitches (I should know, I own it).
    • Progressive scan was possible on the Xbox and PS2 as well.
    • There were many pad converters for PS2 and Xbox.

More to the point, you are not going to change the industry by asking them to make games that won't bring profit. So I'm going to have to turn down your request to back you up here. Bringing the rest of a trilogy to the Gamecube alone right now doesn't make business sense, so it won't be made. For what it's worth, I loved the game, and I'm totally with you on the Jade not being a dumb bimbo thing, that was refreshing. I understand why you want a sequel or two. That's not going to happen on Gamecube, though, and an online petition won't change a damn thing.

Progressive scan is possible on the gamecube.. ;)

But yea, online petitions don't work so well... letters are better, but still not that great

While I don't think petitions would work most of the time, there was a petition carried out by the Soul Calibur community to convince the developer to port the SC3 PS2 game to the arcades and it worked. The developer did mentioned that they'll do the porting if there's enough demand though so YMMV.

In most developers minds, Cube is dead in the water. Deal with it.

Well I think the Soul Calibur community is hard to compare to the BG&E fanbase... When Michel Ancel has finished up making Rayman 4, GameCube will be on the way out for good.

As with the n64 , the anticipation of the next nintendo console makes the current console die a slow death over the period of its last year

If you'll ever see another Beyond, it'll be Wii I suspect, which should be the console that gains the greatest market penetration.

If Rayman 4 does well maybe Ubi will offer to publish another Beyond as the time may be right by then.

Look I am not saying lets start a petition alone. What I plan to do is say to Ubisoft. Is that if I can get enough people who will buy the game brand new for $50 that would reach sales point they will surely do it.

Alchy I don't get you the GCN game was sleeker and better looking then the X-box game and yes I have seen slowdowns but I have seen them on the X-Box also. I myself want the Cube to take advantage of this game since it is not dead in the water and has not been put to it's full potential. Regaurdless that you own a GCN or not I ask people which system had the most funniest games and they keeps answering the GameCube. The Cube is in billions of homes across the world and I am not just talking about people who know this and that about videogames but real consumers who buy things out of implus and for there children.

The X-Box is a PC users machine and has been claimed by the 4-bits who barely care about vairety games. When you put a game like Beyond Good & Evil on the X-Box or any story adventure game it gets thrown out like a unwanted bum at a bar.

But when you put any game on a GCN or any Nintendo Console it shines like light
and with a good game like BG&E that light will be seen far and wide.

Yes I would say lets put this and that on X-BOX but guess what folks when parents who are cheap are going to tell there children I am not going to buy you a new PS3, 360, or WTF is a Wii those children will only be able to turn to GCN.

Guess who else is going to be there also. The New BG&E series.

RightNow what I need the most from anybody here is the E-mail to somebody who is highly assocciated with BG&E.

I also need the people E-mail me or give me the home address of Billzard. There must be some Changes to StarCraft: Ghost before it get released.

While we would be waiting for the game to complete they would give us some BG&E demo's and bosses and other stuff that was removed from the game.

Sorry to say, but your response shows your lack of understanding to the entire topic. You aren't basing your point on fact, but on opinion. Until you can get some factual basis, all you are doing is wishful thinking :)

Billions of homes? Last i checked the gamecube was in 3rd position out of the PS2 and XBOX.

"Is that if I can get enough people who will buy the game brand new for $50 that would reach sales point they will surely do it."

How you gonna prove that? Just because you got someone to sign an online petition? Im sure i can fake a few hundred names if you need.

I've seen BG&E rot in many shelves, for both PS2/GC/Xbox/PC... No way they will be making a sequel. Not until Michel Ancel gets the freedom for a more risky project again.

According to wikipedia there have been 20.85 million Gamecubes sold, versus 22 million Xboxes (last year so will be more now) and 103.6 million PS2s sold. Face it, the Gamecube lost, to the PS2 at least. I'm a big fan of the system, I play my Cube all the time, the first party titles make it a fantastic console. It did not outsell the PS2 though. Fact. Another fact you need to come to terms with is that there will not be another BG&E on the Gamecube unless it's already well into development, nor would it even conceivably be an exclusive, despite how many people from this board email and say they want it.

I doubt anyone is going to give you the home address of anyone from "Billzard" either, and even if they did, you think they're going to listen to you about how to design Starcraft Ghost? No offense, but you're having major delusions of grandeur here. They are professionals and all their game-making decisions are theirs to make, not yours. You are not a professional developer and there is no reason for them to listen to you.

Or they could buy a PS2, which has about 4 times the shelf space dedicated to games. Assuming there are any Gamecube games in the shop at all.

Online petitions are futile, just look at Dreamcast's...

You've to accept some games may be going the way of the dodo.

You've never heard of Beyond Good and Evil? Great game, one of the best multi-platform titles on the last gen of consoles. Kind of a third-person action adventure game with elements from a few different genres. Didn't sell too well though.

The reasons it failed are probably related to the fact that not only is the female lead fully clothed but nothing gets decapitated or raps.

RegalSin your posts and attitude show a almost complete lack of understanding how the industry works. People working on games (unless it's in their job description) don't get too much input on how a game works overall. Also your claim that it "must" happen are opinion.

BG&E is indeed a fine game, like pretty much everyone here says.
But the fact that it sold bad and today is either found in piles dusting away or in bargain bins just doesn't make a sequal very likely and a petition wouldn't really do any good at all really. Very few online petitions have given results, and when it comes to such a thing as a game like this, let's say 10 000 signatures wouldn't even be enough, unless all of those signatures were from one locked down small area/country. (as that'd atleast show that you wouldn't have to dig into the darkest basements and corners of the internet to find potential sales)

Though, I could ofcourse see if a resurrection of it actually happening, it would most certainly be next-gen, but still, I wouldn't really count on it happening. Something which ofcourse is a real shame, as the game truly is a very good pearl that deserves to be in every home that has a videogame system this game has been available on.
The game has really nice gameplay and a very 'alive/well made' universe

So let's just keep some fingers crossed and be good and pray for a resurrection of it next-gen, after the next Rayman game or something.
