I would like to donate too but these guys want to work independently so that if for some reason they fail or get bored with it people won't be out the money they shell on it. But there are chances that once prototypes are running they then may open up for donations to get a production line going.

For prototyping PCBs, OSHPark.com got good prices and service. And you can get the PCB color you want, as long as it's purple!

Does someone still have a copy of the "DC VA0 Schematics and Dev Docs 20-6-12 (OzOnE).zip" file that was uploaded in this post:
    http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?39733&p=590811&viewfull=1#post590811
On this thread mid last year? It's vanished from the internet, and it seems to have a lot of documentation in it that I've been unable to find anywhere else. If someone can re-upload it somewhere I'll add a permanent mirror. Thanks.

I can't find the full ZIP, but the two files mentioned can be found by googling their filename

I've PDF'd them and you can get them here —

    CDIF131E.pdf

    Gdfm_k214e.pdf

Is this the same board as the PSIO project?

yes, it is PSIO. but as i told, i finished it and ready to trace gd-io board. dc-io pcb will look like original gd-rom board. i posted early here. most of parts are same, also i plan add sdram (16 or 32 mb) and 1or 2 ide connectors for HDD. gd- board has enough space for it)))

No kidding! So you're making two different usages of the same board? Fascinating!

I forgot if the IDE ports operate like on a PC and allow for a Master/ Slave setup on a single port. If so, could have up to 4 drives on 1 machine! For me that could equate to 3 HDD and a DVD drive for some odd reason...

Use IDE to SATA adapter and throw 3 or 4 3TB HDD in there for every game and home-brew ever made plus emulators for other stuff like PS1, Megadrive, ect. Maybe even use 4TB HDD if they get a bit more stable than they currently are. Heard these new things tend to fail at the most random of times...

as you see it's prototype, and it's not wired yet, but soon it'll be done.

yep, IDE can operate with two Master and Slave.
