you know we still haven't been able to boot past the liciance screen yet
so until that happens this is pointless

 

what do you mean under "we"? - do you make something for this project? - do you try test any existing or own code for fpga on "basic FPGA bord"?

i just show my progress. you can show yours if you got something?

 

i'm not sure, but i didn't see if other gd-emu makers try make test code for dreamcast , it gives them emulate on the software level such things like DMA access or see what the dreamcast get in buffers after transfering. i plan do software code/program for understanding what is goging on. so my work is not just only for fpga.

 

Umm Ozone Tested Code On His Fpga Setup And Hasn't gotten past The Licance Screen

 

Deunan did some fast testing. It worked with issues, but it was preliminary.

i have no relationship to progress of the other guys : OzOnE & Duenan.
so i have no idea why OzoNe "Hasn't gotten past The Licance Screen". it's just where his progress was stopped.

i make my board in my own way.

The FPGA designs have the highest chance of working - (nee also highest COST).

On another topic: this G1 Bus, it also has the system boot EEPROM on the same bus(lines?) - would it be possible to intercept the EEPROM addresses / data to modify the firmware-on-the-fly ?
OR would that require extra wires to the motherboard (G1 ribbon cable lacks some address lines?) ?

next step is ordering pcb and getting parts for this board

 

So, the physical part of the process is almost done, Cybdyn?

Is the code ready to be flashed on those PCBs?

 

i finished project in Altium Designer, so now i going order pcb from manufacturer. and need to buy parts for this board, or maybe for few of them

I believe you can count with a few of US here. This thread have cooled down a bit but I think people still have interest.

Seriously - don't judge the number of people that replay to a forum as the number of people that would buy what you produce. There will be many people who lurk here who would buy it but don't feel the need to comment in this thread.

Word of mouth will spread this all over the internet once you have a working prototype.
