My apologies for digressing the subject but is there a quick and easy way to create a RSS feed from this thread? I'm sure many of us wait patiently for this to happen without the knowledge to participate in a constructive manner... :)

Closest thing would be to subscribe to the thread. Check the thread tools menu under the thread title.

Doesn't look too bad to me. Didn't you guys use iTead for PSIO? I know they're behind due to the Chinese new year, but you'll probably get a better idea of their quality if you guys wait to get those in. If they end up not being too great these guys might be worth checking out.

That's about 50¢/square inch, not too bad! But hey, as long as the quality is there, the cheaper it would get, the better it'd be!

If I was you i'd order a handful of boards for testing, and once it's working, I'd contact people like Krizz and RetroGamer for advices on cheap-yet-quality manufacturing! RetroGamer could also do distribution for you!

    Cheers!

    hmmm... This is childish...

I personally trust cybdyn, he seems to know what he talks about and could probably build a working prototype. I don't even know what's the involvement of the haunted guy in this, but even if he'd be an ass, the work of the russian fellow would not be in vain...

Yeah, the iTead boards from PSIO looked pretty good might as well save a few bucks by ordering from them again.

Surely it is more fun to assemble yourself though! :encouragement:

Assembling prototypes is fun the first couple of times you do it - after that, it starts to get boring, especially since you can't begin to debug the design (which is the fun bit) until after you have done it. And hand soldering 0402s, even using a microscope, gets old real quick.

Ohhh... I guess the novelty would wear off eventually. Just looking at all that tweezer work... Ouch! :biggrin-new:
Ah well! Keep up the good work all, I'm looking forward to future updates as always! :encouragement:
