Most of the members of fuckedgaijin are more sarcastic than me if you can believe that.

Lovely pictures as expected from GaijinPunch!
The ones I like the most are the picture of the girl getting a cab and the last picture of the snow covering the statue :)

Yeah, the one getting in the cab is a fan favorite. Really lucked out with it. I was shooting at F2 for some reason (hard to focus) and the cab was coming.

Finally got to see these snow shots. Yep, I'm a fan of the woman and the taxi. Lovely photo that is.

Glad -- it was like standing in an ankle-deep slurpee. Shoes still not dry. :|

I took my new GH2 out for a test today while I had a spare half hour.

First up is a low light test that I took at 3:03am. Outside was pretty much black but this is what the camera could pick up at 400iso

A few shots taken from my "quiet time" place I like to go to every now and then to just unwind.

Looks like a couple of mean pussies there.

For the eagle shots, are you full zoomed in? Cropped at all? Does it take a long time to go from the wide end to the long? Cool that you got him. I'm back in manual focus only these days. Nature shots consist of flowers and pigeons. :)

They are cropped images. The eagle was pretty far away so I was zoomed right in and follow it with the camera. The bloody thing wouldn't keep still. Even with the cropping the image quality is still pretty good. Going from wide to far is really quick plus I used auto focus. The GH2 with this lens has a fantastically fast auto focus that knows what you want it to focus on. One of the cameras strong points for sure.

I'll be out on the town next Saturday so I'm looking forward to seeing how it copes at night. Reviews say that up to 3600 iso is good. Not bad for a mirrorless camera.

Yeah, birds generally tend to move around a lot. I wonder what nature photographers did before AF!
