Weather sucked balls last night (and is beautiful today). In Shinjuku? You should have buzzed me... even though I definitely would not have gone out. I actually was supposed to run an errand there though.

Well done on the night time shit. The RX1 is lovely for that. Mine is definitely feeling neglected. Out of curiosity, what ISO & Aperture are you using? Have you not wanted to smash it due to it's horrible low-light focusing ability?

Here's my recently developed shots. The snow ones are of course from the recent snow day. Fun Fact: They were taken on a Yashica Electro 35 CC which I acquired for 500 yen. The battery was 800 yen.

Sweet set GP. Actually, those are all with my NEX-7 and a ~50mm lens (~85-90mm on FF view). The NEX-7 is even worse at low-light AF... but I am practicing Zen. I was shooting in Aperture priority, f/1.8, auto ISO (lim 1600) and took it from there. EXIF should be in the flickr deets.

I'm actually looking to sell the camera body (English menu), though I would actually trade it for some interesting glass.

Yes we should meet up... I had my hands full with bag, umbrella, and camera, so my phone was tucked away.

I think this sums up "life in Japan" pretty well:

    At least, life in Tokyo.

Hey shit. It's as if someone had actually set up that shot. How sad it must be to live in part of the country that has pretty much everyone with their head at a 45° angle.

I would say the cell phone thing is a generational and not a geographical problem. Basically anyone under 25 who lives in a first world country is just like that anywhere in the world. It doesn't need a Tokyo for this shit to happen :[

Sometimes I join them, though I at least successfully avoid it when I'm with others or when the weather/landscape is nice :p

It's exacerbated here considerably since the majority of the population takes public transportation, and as such, is standing around waiting on it. I don't give a shit in stations and whatnot, but I hate seeing people on their phones at clubs.

Well, I suppose there's one difference - people used to read newspapers on public transport, and weren't sociable then either. However, people now carry around these little computers and use them everywhere, as GP said - even in nightclubs. No-one used to read a newspaper in a club.

As I said in my blog post, no wonder the NSA/GCHQ are harvesting data - we're eager to give them the usage stats they need ;)

It's been a while since I uploaded anything here so here we go.

Today I snook inside an old derelict super market.

Creepy. Too bad you couldn't get "in" the actual building. Probably some wacky shit.
