    Just a few random pictures...

    1. Some 40%-ish alcohol drink with a dead poisonous sea-snake inside. It's called habu. From Okinawa. Tasted OK. You drink it as a shot.

as2.JPG 2. This is from Devil Craft Hamamatsucho. Best place in the city, everybody in Tokyo should try it if you haven't already. Good pizza and great craft beer. I eat her at least once a week. :) (There are Devil Craft restaurants other places in Tokyo as well, but I always go to this one. I think it's the "main" one.)

as3.JPG 3. After I made a home-cooked meal, my girlfriend prepared some snacks. Raw octopus. I love Japanese food, but this is too much for me...

    4. Went to Shizuoka for a weekend trip, hoping to see Fuji-san. So here I am in front of Fuji-san. Oh well, maybe next time...

I have loads of film to be developed... now to just get the time. Always scared to do too many though... I have 4 from when I lived there that I just can't bring myself to develop. How's that for clinging to the past?

Would you ever consider coming back to Japan? And if you did, what would you do?

Definitely, but unless things change, I would only retire there. (Or maybe semi retire at a time I don't care so much about money). Japan Inc simply pays way too little for what I do. Think somewhere in the "half" category. As such, I won't be back there until my son's college is all squared away, which will be a while.

my girls asked me about moving to Japan so my answer is sending them with their mum to Japan every year during their Summer holiday in December and January before school starts at the end of January. :) I used to go with them to be a guide but now they are so used they don't need me hence I can save my plane tickets and accommodation. :p

Seriously women are expensive in many levels

Since the forum went down I've been posting videos of life in Japan. The latest just went up a few minutes ago.

And for those interested, here are a few others in the series.

I've been following those videos and they are great, I actually want to visit the non major city areas of Japan over the usual hotspots like Tokyo thanks to these. Things seem calmer, a bit more open, and just more enticing in general.

Thanks for watching, guys. Yeah, there are many videos about the big cities in Japan but the truth is that most people live outside of big cities. This is the type of Japan I want to show. Tokyo and the likes of are great but they don't represent real life for most of the population.

Indeed. I guess most people think about modern and super crowded cities when they think about Japan. Thanks for showing this different perspective.
