    It's all right Paul, I developed some horny phantasies as well after seeing all those lolitas with their short skirts in the other pictures.

    @dcharlie
    Those pictures have a really nice atmosphere. Obviously you've got a great combination of good gear and an eye for great motives. Do you rework your pictures, apart from possible corrections in cropping etc? The colors look so crisp and clear in some of the shots, not that a brilliant lense couldn't do that but I'd rather ask than just guess :)

    nope, i tend not to touch up the photos. All the ones posted are completely untouched. That's how they came out. I'm basically too lazy to sit with Photoshop, only time i'll really boot it up is if i have a stack of sensor dust on an other wise good photo.

    One thing i do do is i have the Canon body set to push the brightness levels/exposure down so i don't lose any detail from over exposure. It tends to give things a much more "contrast-y" look - sometimes it looks a bit too OTT, but at least that can be corrected.

    fantastic pictures, DCharlie. It's like two different worlds. My pictures are open and green while yours show the real image of modern Japan. I just wish I had the cash to buy a nice SLR camera like yours.

    I can't believe how those scenes are typical in Japan and they are dissapearing around Spain. Computers are taking over everything, it's incredible how 10 or so years ago stations needed three or four people to work properly and now there are completely empty. :(

    Ironically enough, Japan is built around worker bees supporting the infrastructure. They've been late to computerize just about everything (interweb, anyone?) except toilets. It'll be interesting to be a fly on teh wall in 10, 20, 30 years if depopulation continues.
