Where'd you see the turtles? I haven't seen live animals ever in this fucking country... except on a dinner plate.

I try to avoid any of the "rivers" around the city since the water is black and smells awful.

Okay, so I stand corrected. There was a racoon or ferret or something walking on the power lines in my neighborhood last night.

Do the Japanese really serve a pint with that much of a head on it? Urgh!

Yep, they think it makes a good beer. The cheap arses!. I always ask for next to no head on mine. To be honest though, if you go to a foreigner's bar you always get a full glass since they know that's what we like. Or at least down here they do. No idea about Tokyo.

In Shinjuku what Yakamo said is correct. It's a question of aesthetics, I just stopped ordering draft and went to cans

Even given the serving practices, I would never resort to cans when draught is available.

Canned beer in Japan is generally more pleasant than outside Japan, it's not been in the cans for ages like most places.

And it's only 175 yen

    Lunch sets !!!!

Spend around 1500 yen and you'll get this

Lunch sets are a pretty good deal usually 2 options and priced 800 - 900.

(I ordered the rice extra, was only 200 yen)

Decent pad thai in Shibuya, place got packed 20 mins after I arrived.

All of these were 800 yen lunch sets

I had to go to Ainoshima again today. That island off the coast of Kita Kyushu that has a population of 5 humans, one dog and 100 cats. Ok, I may be wrong about the population but I know that there's sweet F.A. there.

Oi! Which bastard stole my wheels?

Can you believe that someone actually drove this piece of crap just before I took the photo?
