OR a sane person would just rewrite the libraries (HLE) which access the special hardware and route them through the VirtualBox OpenGL interface, then pack a custom VirtualBox (or any other hw-accelerated VM for that matter) including the modified OS with the libraries.

Would work accross Linux, Mac and Windows and would be a clean solution as it would abstract the hardware one more time. It's not that slow either probably (I have ran many games just fine in VirtualBox) and would allow somewhat more accurate emulation (by slowly replacing the custom libraries with hardware emulation - LLE).

Nice job so far - I haven't read the thread entirely, but do you have a codebase online? Also, are there any public domain lindbergh applications or something I could have a look at myself?

Yes but the thing you don't seem to understand that I've invested thousands of euros on these games and hardware. Then people come here saying "please give me all for free and slap emu on the top thx."

There is no access to the OS publicly and hopefully there will never be just like with the PS3 and the root keys.

The Lindbergh is just a PC with few special cards and custom motherboard.

What kind of BIOS does the Lindbergh use? Modified AwardBIOS? UEFI?

So much for that, eh? :p

I'm still in awe of your work. I don't necessarily care if you ever release this stuff as I intend to own a Lindberg of my own one day, but in the meantime I'll just marvel.

I'm currently trying to make a list of released lindbergh discs / applications + their required security dongle / key chip.
So if you have anything besides what I have listed here it would be great if you could e-mail or pm me the disc identifier ("DVP-...") and the security chip identifier ("253-5508-..."), possibly also the exact game title on the disc. If you are too lazy to type in the disc labels it would be great if you could just send me a photo of the discs (with security chip would be best) where the labels are readable - I'd do the rest then.

I'll try to make this list publicly available somewhere (a wiki maybe?) but I don't know where exactly this is going to end up - Until then pm me please.
    Thanks!

What do you mean? I did not get cracked games for this
This "list" (hey, quotes are cool..) was entirely collected from ebay, andys shop etc. I can even give you the exact sources if you want them..

This is only a list - I don't have any of those games. I'm just trying to make an index with all games at the moment.

Hey guys. I've been reading this thread and just being in awe! :D. I would like to build a Lindbergh Supergun but I don't know how to go about it. I know where I can get a JAMMA supergun but if the Lindbergh is basically just a PC, would regular dinput controllers work with it, I have a Madcatz Fightstick so could that work with it? It would save me a lot of money. Also, I know where I can get the PSU and the Lindbergh hardware itself but as far as the games I want for the system, I don't know the first place to look. AGS I know has some Lindbergh games but I'm looking specifically for the Virtua Fighter series, in particular Virtua Fighter 5 R, so can anyone tell me where I can find these games?

Also, to clarify, is all I need to have a Lindbergh Supergun is the Lindbergh motherboard and PSU or do I need other things as well?

I've not got a lindbergh but no I wouldn't think dinput controllers would work at all, previous sega arcade units use JAMMA inputs and a kick-harness for the extra buttons, but it depends on if you've got the JAMMA output or the other output of which the name fails to come to my mind.

The Lindbergh is similar to other JVS systems, you'll need the proper Lindbergh motherboard, JVS I/O board, PSU and then the proper controls for anything that isn't Power Smash 3 or VF.

VF5R onwards you will not find period and even if you did, it doesn't work out of the box because it looks for the network. They were lease only games in Japan and in the case of R, was overwritten with FS. For vanilla VF5, you will only find the foreign release which isn't the latest revision.

    Lindbergh DVD's and keychips database

I have all lindberghs games, all the export games and most of the japanese games, around 100 DVD's, the only game i don't have is VF5 FS.

Some years ago I start making a excel file with the information of most of the lindbergh DVD's i have with the correspoding Keychips part numbers, if you want it, just send me a PM with your email.

But now i'm more focused on RingWide and Ringedge...

Does anyone know what company manufactured the motherboards for the Lindbergh? I remember finding the manufacturer's website a few years ago... they produce ATX boards with a guaranteeing support/availability for at least 5 years or something. They're made specifically for long-term projects. If they had opted for consumer model boards, they would probably have trouble finding them after the first year or so of production.

VF5R ad VF5FS are confirmed to be floating around outside Japan and working without network connectivity.

Hehe my modded Lindy OS soon runs all Type X1 and X2 games. Have no fear.

Also my multi saves/loads each game settings for running the game so no need to recalibrate wheels and guns each time.

Also my multi has JVS menu where you don't need keyboard at all just use buttons like Service, View Change, Start 2 to select and Test, Start 1 to Enter.

HOTD4 Offscreen reload is also cool :applause:

Oh and WIP is USB joystick support for all games.

Added new game to my collection. 819416_10151119530649649_304334384_o.jpg

Patched to run without Memory Cards, Camera, Big JVS Board etc.
