Rambo has mouse support by patching a few flags. No need to do anything special. I am just not interested in that, I also have debug menu access on it etc.

I don't remember, WHY just WHY do you want to use mouse, it destroys the entire idea of a shooter.

sorry dude basically the plan is to use aimtrak light guns, so basically if the game has gamepad support or mouse support i can use these guns. Instead of buying the sega i/o gun board, which would cost me alot, I can use the guns that work with my pc?

the guns connect via usb and should work on linux.

Any luck on getting OutRun 2 SP Deluxe working on Windows 7 with DirectInput and FFB wheels yet? If not when do you expect you may make progress on this?

Jackalus has no intention of releasing his build so I have no idea why he wants to keep bragging about it.

I have a build for Lindbergh that does similar things but nothing to talk about because I'm not releasing it.

There are intentions to release it, but its too early to discuss it.
Personally I would have preferred if no information was given out at this point to remove the "bragging-factor" and to avoid speculation.

Keep in mind, and I can't stress this enough, that this project is still in rather early stages.

Normal USB HID devices in the form of joysticks (which should include joysticks, gamepads and steering wheels) should work - but the Lindbergh kernel is rather ancient (Around ~2.5.x), so some gamepads didn't have drivers at the time (which either means no support at all, missing force feedback or different things).
Support for mouse and keyboards is planned too, but low priority.
Remapping buttons from existing JVS input devices (Swapping pedals or buttons for example) does already work but might be extended in the future to be fully reconfigurable.

However, please respect that support has to be added per-game (with the intention to support every game we can get our hands on) and that we have to test the supported devices, maybe even add more drivers to the old kernel to satisfy customers.
As a Lindbergh owner myself, without a proper cabinet, it's my own desire to have a good working operating system which also works using USB input devices.

I'm currently sick so progress is very slow at the moment.
Please retain from further speculation, if actual progress happens you'll read about it. If a form of distribution / publication is available you'll also be able to find out about it here.

(Note: Jackalus might think differently about some things. I can only speak for myself and tell you whatever I believe is true)
