If you have a TV that Takes RGB over scart its very easy. You just need to get a jamma harness, and basically put a few pots on the right lines, then connect pin for pin (i.e. Red jamma -> Red Scart, Audio Jamma -> Audio Scart). Get an old AT Power supply, and again, connect pin to pin (e.g. 5V, -5V etc.). Then solder the controller pins to a controller port the same as the Neo Geo's (Just generally used in superguns because joysticks are easy to get hold of), buy a Neo joystick and you're laughing.

I really need to get around to it someday.

Also, if you cannot use RGB (e.g. if you do not have a TV that takes RGB, like most US TV's) you need an encoder chip to convert the RGB to S-Video And/Or Composite. Adds to the cost though, as you'll need to buy the chip and probably use some form of board, be it protoboard, stripboard or a proper PCB made for you

EDIT: if you want more info, let me know. I'm no expert, But I've got the Idea in my head about how I'll make my Supergun!

Yeah, an RGB->S-video converter box will set you back at least $50 (and I'm not sure how good ones that cheap are), not to mention it'll degrade picture quality (even moreso with composite video, which makes me die inside). And be warned that not all arcade systems use standard TV-like frequencies (~15kHz) - "medium resolution" systems need 24kHz monitors, and newer systems often use VGA-like monitors or higher. You'll be OK with most 80s stuff (unless it's like Darius :smt1069 ) and the Neo Geo...

Well I'm in the process of designing it. Few things I need to work out first, but once I know how to do it I'll throw up my diagram and notes, so everyone can see.
