These may not be ps2 games but they are really weird arcade games from japan. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=klXkNxejZIo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pp-NMXT68bY
Thanks to everyone who posted here, I am about to hardmod my PS2 and wanna finally play some Japanese imports on the console, now I know what to aim for!
Ah! Drag-on Dragoon/Drakengard should probably get added to the list as the usual reaction to parts of the first game tends to weird people out. .... It looks pretty normal here, the stuff that tends to freak people out are towards the later parts of the game. It IS more well-known for being somewhat weird but I think it ought to be put into here too.
Just want to say some of those games posted in OP look rad as hell and I'm sad they were never brought here to America :/
That's what led to their downfall actually. They translated the game and submitted it to Sony for approval and they turned it down. Guess they put too much money into it or something.
i noticed Robot Alchemic Drive was mentioned but unlike other games in that post, it's English name was missing. the game was indeed released outside of japan, going by the name Gigantic Drive.
Awesome thread ... i have one game to mention Yoshinoya http://www.neoseeker.com/Games/Products/PS2/yoshinoya/
What about the Love-de-Lic/Skip games designed by Kenichi Nishi? Moon: Remix RPG Adventure (PS1, 1997) L.O.L.: Lack of Love (Dreamcast, 2000) (Soundtrack by Ryuichi Sakamoto) GiFTPiA (Gamecube, 2003)
Sequence to the last reply... Chibi-Robo! (Gamecube, 2005) (Released in US as "Chibi-Robo: Plug Into Adventure!") Captain Rainbow (Wii, 2008) Those games are just gold!
Wait? is this thread multiplatform or Ps2 only? As i see Chibi robo apearing now .. .. :-/ Why don't make seperate threads for each platform? I wanna see bomberman Heheh get mentioned -_-'
