I was looking for that already, unfortunately the one set of tapes only seems to have two versions of code, neither of which has anything commented out or related that I saw. There are likely other versions in other places, it just requires more time than Ive had so far to get to them.

Do you have the source available in a tool that saves iterations (I guess they had stopped using SourceSafe by then) or do you simply have it as plan files? If there is version control then 03.08.2006 is the date when that file was built at least.

They are just extracted files in this case. No source control from this particular set, not to say that it wont be elsewhere I just havent had time to look for it yet. I have this build and plenty of others, even documentation for what they were showing and avoiding at Leipzig, but no code to actually play it, go figure. It's just a matter of having time to look at it, which I wont this weekend at least.

This program seems to be reading the pad status in one thread and receives the status from within another thread, via a message-passing system. Which is why it's hard to see what it is really doing... since we cannot see what is received by the password-checking code. :|

If the passcode mentioned earlier really didn't work, then there might be something else that is not understood...
I's exactly the same one mentioned by @speedyink, but I wrote it again for clarity.

I'm getting some progress here. If I go to the controller emulator settings (on the PS3 Test) and change "Switch Analogue Mode" from "Digital Mode" to "Analogue Mode" I am able to open the debug menu. Can't do anything useful there unfortunately. Trying the code does not help either. Going to test the other version of the Leipzig build now.

Do you have a PS2 to test with? Or just the PS3s? If you know someone close by with a PS2 Test or modded PS2 it would be worth a try. I mean you think the PS3 would emulate the DS2 controller exactly, but the fact the analogue mode option was already messing with things..I dunno, makes me think.

Unfortunately I don't. Might have to dig out my TOOL and try the sp193 method and overwrite part of the elf. Or re-burn before trying in PS3 again.
