I just got my longest gaming streak (as well as longest time up). I just played Wild Arms Alter Code F 21 hours straight with NO breaks! :eek:h:

NO game has kept my attention that long. It is such a great game and I recommend it to EVERYONE!

So, I was wondering, what are your'e longest streaks? I know some MMO challenges take up to 15 hours of defending something or whatever, but seriously.

Wow, that's insane. Me, the most I've done is 6 hours straight (Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind). I'm all for gaming, but real life responsibilities necessitate the occassional break.

Sort of like skitzo, I had a huge PSO marathon when I was younger, except no smoking for me. Can't recall the amount of time.

I've also recently had a 14 hour Battlefield 2 adventure, but that's it as far as marathons. Don't really have time to do them frequently with so much going on.

When I was a kid, I think I played Metroid for 7 hours straight. On a few rainy Sunday afternoons, I played Descent 3 online for about 6-7 hours straight, smoking a whole pack of cigarettes in the process. Fun times.

A few South Koreans did some 72-hour marathons, but we all know how that ended.

I played through Final Fantasy 9 in three 14 hour sessions, one each day (a long weekend).
When I was starting college, Final Fantasy 8 made me pull many all-nighters, too. Once, I even wanted to not go to a final exam (I was sleep deprived and my logic was sort of faulty) for a class that I had already passed anyway. I guess I clocked several, like four, 10 hour sessions that week.

I might have played FF6 in 6 to 8 hour bursts back in the day, but I can't remember.

I have finished MGS2 and ZOE2 in individual five and three hour sessions, from the beginning, though.

I used to play Everquest a fair bit and once spent about 15 hours grinding until my eyes bleed (not literally).

In Everquest there is/was a quest for an item that required you to collect map pieces, which you could combine and hand to a pirate and receive some uber stat boosting thing. Unfortunately to get these drops required insane camping sessions until the NPC spawned - one of my friends waited for over 40 hours to make this griffon thing spawn. Unbelievable.

Everquest was a total bastard for that kind of thing. To be a top level player required little in the way of a real life. I was always a peon for this reason.

Final Fantasy 4: Start to finish in around 14 hours (I know it can be done in much less, but I was young).
Comand & Conquer Red Alert: 20+ hours. I don't remember much from that day.

When I was younger it was one of the Donkey Kong Country series (Can't remember).

Around 10 + hours straight, no bathroom breaks... and you know what happened next...

The longest I've played a single game would be around 12 hours (Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall). Hopefully I'll beat that with Oblivion in a few days [IMG].

Yeah, I want to get into the Elder Scrolls series. I hear good things about them. As soon as I get enough money to upgrade my PC...
