I just found the sega saturn has an s-video out ,but the cables are expensive so I bought the suplies to add s-video and left and right audio all I need now is a diagram of what points I should solder.

Just solder where the connector is mounted. Using the pinout it should be quite easy to figure out where to solder.
This being said, i still think 20$ shipped for a good quality S-video Saturn cable is better than going through the trouble and drilling in the casing but thats just me.

Yup I'd follow the jack's internal lines to branch them off somehow. Best to keep full support for everything Sega provided.

see thats the problem I would have to dissect the connecter to figure that out. If you have a saturn open it up and see what I'm talking about. There's also this for the PCB side of it:

Not sure i follow you here, you should not need to dissect anything.
Have not opened a Saturn in a while but normally I would Just stick a small wire, resistor lead or something in the hole of the connector you want to find a solder pad for, then check with a multimeter.

You know the Saturn supports RGB right? Why go to this trouble for S-video, when you can have RGB instead which looks far better! All you need is an RGB SCART cable ($15 from http://www.retro-access.com) and, if your TV doesn't have SCART, a SCART to component video convertor (around $50 on eBay). Very much worth it, and you can use the same convertor box for all your other RGB-capable consoles.

That depends on his TV. Some HD sets have blanket refusal to accept low res from component, just an ordinary 'signal not found' type error.

Uh, what?! The cables aren't expensive! IIRC, Play Asia did them until recently for under $10. It's far easier just to get one. And yes, RGB is better if you have a suitable monitor.

Oh look, quick Google search found this:

It was more of an excuse for me to break out my soldering iron. I just looked for easy mods and this appeared to be one and I only would spend 5 dolars on parts.besides I didn't look around to much I more or less just wanted to have some fun.

a hard question. Best is of course a TV with native RGB input. About different converters; I would go with a scart to component if your TV accepts 240p from component. Most Samsung HDTVs do. An easy way to test your tv, is playing a PS1 game on a PS2 hooked to your tv via component.

a VGA transcoder should double the resolution to 480p for compatibility. It should be compatible with all TVs with VGA input, but it won't be picture perfect like 240p. Well not much will differ if you aren't a perfectionist.

In my unprofessional option, they should be the same, since they're all transferring the red, green and blue signals separately from the console and putting them together at your TV to form the image. Either way, RGB of any kind is better than S-video ;)

Any ways my lcd is about to bite the dust soon So I want to Know if the Samsung LA-32D403 can use 240p signal via compoent, the model is. If it can it would be justifiable reason to buy a new tv. [h=1][/h]

I can confirm both of my Samsung HDTVs support 240p over component. They are UE40C5100 and UE55D6500. I've read on various places more models of Samsung support too.

Assuming my second HDTV is D series as the one you suggested, it has a high probability. But i would just try it before buying.
