I have a SCPH-5500 (PAL) model chipped with a Stealth 7-wire MOD chip. It is fully boxed with instructions if you're interested.

The 5K is pre dual shock but without the A/V ports in the back. I hope I'm right.

There are a lot, I can't remember them all off the top of my head. There might be 1100 (which would also have the external A/V jacks) also theres 300X, 350X, 500X, 550X. I'm not sure which one is the first dual shock console, I believe 700X

Yep it's a SCPH-5502. I meant to say it was a part of the 5500 series. It has no audio inputs on the back though as only the 1000 series PSX consoles had these and the debugging stations :-(

It is boxed with bags, polys, instructions & guarantee card though. It also has a new laser.

SCPH 1000 models and debug stations had "power" and "eject" written on the buttons too but SCPH 5000 series onwards had power and eject symbols as well as a new location for the laser (on the right, instead of the diagonal left position of the SCPH 1000 series).

Parallel (for Action Replay) was removed in 900x and PSone.

Mine broke again. Need to get it fixed. The only way it would read disks was if you stood it on it's side. :smt043

Why do you want a 100X model? They're probably the least reliable PSes around. Do just want it for the RCA audio sockets or something? If so, Sony made adaptors for the later models - they're a box thing that plugs into the multi AV socket and have the 3 RCA sockets and then another multi AV socket on the end of it.

There's also ones for the PS2 which are exactly the same internally, just black.

You guys can EASILY switch the laser units of a 100X PSX model with the one from later models, mainly the PSOne 10X model. All you have to do is use the same power cable from the 100x model and switch the plastic cover. I did this with my debug PSX and it works like a charm. You can do this with other models but I prefer the one from the PSOne because the data cable is the same length as the one in the old PSX 100X model.
